Eric Thomas

A very tall, like 7'10 elegant alien CEO with elongated limbs and a slender frame. His skin shimmers with an iridescent, oil-on-water quality. He wears a perfectly tailored suit that appears to be woven from solidified light, which subtly glows. His features are refined and non-human.

Intercom

A sleek, wall-mounted mechanical intercom speaker designed in a clean, minimalist manga sci-fi style. The unit features a circular metallic housing with a dark, fine-mesh speaker grille at its center. The casing is made of brushed aluminum with subtle, futuristic panel lines, seamlessly integrated into a smooth, light-colored wall.

PAGE 1

Panel 1:A vast, golden-hued savanna stretches endlessly under a blood-orange sunset. Massive baobab trees stand sentinel. In the foreground, a hidden valley reveals itself beneath ancient rock formations—a place untouched by time. A lone figure stands atop a rocky outcrop, gazing down at the valley below. The sky crackles with an otherworldly energy; faint auroras shimmer despite the daylight, suggesting something unnatural about this place.

Narrator:Thirteen hundred years before the present. In the heart of Africa, where the veil between worlds grows thin.

Panel 2:Deep beneath the earth, hidden within an ancient stone temple, a vast circular chamber is revealed. The walls are carved with intricate geometric patterns—mathematical, precise, utterly inhuman in their perfection. At the chamber's center sits a raised stone altar. Hovering above it, suspended in mid-air and glowing with ethereal light, is the Hakhol: a magnificent necklace of crystalline material that shimmers with colors that don't exist in nature—hues between silver and violet, pulsing with inner radiance. The artifact's surface catches light in impossible ways.

Narrator:A gift. An anchor. Left behind by those who walked between the stars.

Panel 3:An intimate close-up of the Hakhol necklace suspended in the air. Its surface is impossibly smooth yet intricate—carved with symbols and mathematical formulas that seem to shift and change when not looked at directly. The light radiating from it casts ethereal shadows across the stone altar below. Energy pulses through the artifact in subtle waves, as if it's alive—conscious—waiting.

Narrator:Crafted from materials no earthly forge could produce. Imbued with power beyond comprehension.

Panel 4:A group of African warriors, scholars, and priests stand in awe before the illuminated chamber. Their faces are filled with reverence and wonder. The eldest figure—a tall woman adorned with ritual scarification and gold jewelry—steps forward toward the altar. Her hand reaches toward the hovering Hakhol, bathed in its ethereal glow. Behind her, younger initiates hold torches that seem dim and weak compared to the artifact's radiance.

Narrator:The keepers of the sacred site understood: this treasure was not meant for possession. It was a test. A responsibility. A bridge.

Panel 5:A sweeping visual montage showing the Hakhol passing through generations. Panels showing: the necklace being carefully wrapped in ritual cloth by priests; centuries passing as the temple is hidden deeper; the artifact being passed from guardian to guardian across centuries; finally, the temple being lost to history—overgrown, forgotten, buried. Each image shows the Hakhol's glow dimming as human knowledge of it fades, suggesting its power waiting to be rediscovered.

Narrator:Protected. Hidden. Waiting. For the day when one brave enough—or desperate enough—would be chosen to reclaim it.

PAGE 2

Panel 1:A split-panel montage of social media doom-scrolling. Glowing smartphone screens fill the frame: one person commenting 'alien invasion are happening everywhere and no one is talking about it'; another saying 'I wouldn't mind dating an alien'; a third asking 'which alien movie is your best? Mine is...' The comments cascade down like a social media feed, each screen showing different anxious and joking reactions to alien news.

Panel 2:LJ lies on his bed in frustration, throwing his smartphone down onto the mattress beside him. He stares at the ceiling, visibly impatient and annoyed. His camera bag sits on the floor nearby. The room is modest but cluttered with photography equipment.

LJ: Man, when is Drac going to call? It's been a week.

Narrator:I still have money but I need to stack more. Hopefully the next job isn't that dangerous.

Panel 3:LJ's phone suddenly lights up and rings on the bed. His eyes snap open, attention immediately captured by the phone vibrating against the sheets.

Panel 4:LJ quickly grabs the phone, lifting it to his ear with anticipation. His expression shifts to focused attention as he prepares to answer.

PAGE 3

Panel 1:LJ speaks into the phone, his voice filled with recognition and relief.

LJ: Hello, who is this?

Panel 2:A shadowy voice on the other end of the line—represented visually as a dark silhouette on a phone screen or flickering monitor, face obscured by digital static.

Drac: Hey LJ, this is Drac.

Panel 3:LJ's eyes widen in shock and excitement. He sits up on the bed, suddenly alert and energized.

LJ: About time!!! What happened to the original phone number?

Panel 4:Drac's presence is felt through the phone—a smooth, disembodied voice with an enigmatic tone.

Drac: We have to scramble our phone numbers from time to time. Clients confidentiality. If you haven't picked up, our clients aren't normal. That's why the pay is extremely high.

Panel 5:LJ nods, understanding the explanation while lying back on his bed, phone pressed to his ear.

LJ: I kinda figured that.

Panel 6:Drac's voice continues, smooth and direct.

Drac: Is that a problem?

PAGE 4

Panel 1:LJ grins, relaxed and confident despite his earlier frustration.

LJ: Ummm naw. If the pay is good, I'm willing to take pictures of a lion while being in the cage with him.

Panel 2:Drac's voice carries a note of satisfaction.

Drac: That's good to hear. So about that—we have another job for you. It will pay twice as much.

Panel 3:LJ's eyes explode wide with shock and disbelief. He sits bolt upright on the bed.

LJ: Hold up—twice as much!!! What's the catch?

Panel 4:Drac pauses, his voice dropping to a more measured tone.

Drac: You'll be beamed out of space onto a spaceship with aliens.

PAGE 5

Panel 1:LJ struggles to process the impossible statement. His expression switches between confusion and dawning realization.

LJ: Oh naw, that's beyond trippy. Give me a second to just comprehend what you're saying.

Panel 2:Drac's voice clarifies with certainty.

Drac: Yes. Out of space.

Panel 3:LJ sits up, his mind racing through pop culture references.

LJ: Outer space like E.T., like Star Wars?

Panel 4:Drac confirms with a smooth, measured tone.

Drac: Yes, LJ. Like Star Trek. They have a new product that they are launching into the universe, but they need product shots and professional reels. Can you do it?

PAGE 6

Panel 1:LJ's face brightens at the prospect of the work, but concern creeps in.

LJ: Yes I can, but how am I supposed to get to space and back home? Breathe in that atmosphere before dying?

Panel 2:Drac's voice becomes calm and assured.

Drac: We will supply you with the Hakhol necklace. This necklace is very powerful—you will have the ability to teleport to and from a destination of our choice, breathe in outer space, water, fire, etc. for 24 hours. Just to name a few things.

PAGE 7

Panel 1:An ancient African king, adorned in ceremonial gold and jeweled armor, stands beneath the surface of a vast, serene underwater temple. Around him, sacred architecture and sculptures are visible in the blue-green depths. He wears the Hakhol necklace, glowing softly around his neck. The king's expression is one of peaceful mastery as he breathes effortlessly in the water, surrounded by bioluminescent creatures and coral formations. Bubbles do not rise from his lips—he breathes the water itself like air.

Narrator:Across centuries, the greatest African rulers discovered what the Hakhol could do. Kings breathed in the depths where no mortal man could survive.

Panel 2:A magnificent African warrior-king stands defiantly in the heart of a roaring inferno. Massive walls of flame tower around him, yet he strides through the fire untouched, the Hakhol necklace blazing with the same luminous colors as the flames themselves. His body is unburned; his royal robes flutter in the heat but remain intact. His face shows absolute control and power.

Narrator:They moved through fire as if it were mist, commanding the very elements themselves.

Panel 3:A regal African ruler—ancient and wise, dressed in star-inlaid robes—floats effortlessly in the void of outer space. Around them swirls a cosmic landscape: distant stars, nebulae, and the curve of a world below. The Hakhol necklace shines with the brilliance of a star itself. The ruler breathes deeply, their lungs drawing in the vacuum as easily as air, their expression serene and transcendent.

Narrator:They breathed in the void between worlds. The Hakhol made them gods.

Panel 4:The tone shifts dramatically. Two rival African kings face each other across a grand throne room, both adorned in conflicting regalia—one draped in indigo and gold, the other in crimson and silver. The Hakhol lies on a pedestal between them, and both kings reach for it with desperate, grasping hands. Their expressions are twisted with greed and ambition. Armed warriors stand behind each ruler, weapons drawn. The air crackles with tension and imminent violence.

Narrator:But power corrupts. Soon, kingdoms rose against kingdoms. Rulers fought over the artifact, each claiming it as their right to rule.

Panel 5:A brutal battle erupts in a vast arena carved from stone. Multiple African kings and warriors clash violently over the Hakhol, which floats above them on a stone pillar. Spears, swords, and shields clash in chaotic combat. The necklace's glow illuminates the bloodshed below. Bodies fall; kings shriek with rage and ambition. The once-sacred artifact is now a symbol of violence and domination.

Narrator:Wars were waged. Empires crumbled. The gift from the stars became a curse of conquest.

Panel 6:Deep within the hidden burial chamber of an ancient Egyptian tomb, a high priest or pharaoh carefully places the Hakhol necklace into a sealed crystalline case. Hieroglyphics cover the walls—warnings and prophecies written in sacred script. The chamber is lined with gold, precious stones, and protective amulets. The priest's face shows solemn duty as they lock the artifact away, their hand trembling slightly. Behind them, the massive stone door of the tomb begins to close.

Narrator:The keepers of old made a final choice: to seal it away. Deep beneath the sands of Egypt, where no king could claim it. Where it would wait.

Panel 7:A vast expanse of Egyptian desert under a scorching sun. Sand dunes stretch endlessly. Hidden beneath the surface, barely visible, is the sealed stone entrance to the tomb—marked with ancient symbols and surrounded by crumbled pillars. The entrance is camouflaged, forgotten by time. Nothing stirs. The Hakhol lies dormant in the darkness below, waiting for the day someone discovers what lies beneath the sand.

Narrator:Waiting for the day someone brave—or desperate—enough would reclaim it.
