ET PT-2

LJ is a talented but broke photographer in Baltimore who is desperate for a big break. He signs up with a mysterious firm, "Supernatural Success," run by the enigmatic Drac, which offers him lucrative but bizarre and dangerous jobs. His first assignment involves filming a manor owned by a polite vegan zombie, which quickly escalates to his next job: an off-world corporate shoot for an alien CEO aboard a starship. LJ must navigate these surreal and perilous situations, using his wit and camera skills to survive and, hopefully, get rich.

LJ sprawls on his bed, already daydreaming about spending his ten-thousand-dollar windfall, when his phone erupts with a call from Drac on a frequency that looks like shifting alien glyphs. Drac dangles a jaw-dropping offer: twenty thousand dollars for a corporate launch shoot aboard an off-world starship, capturing product footage for the Galactic Trade Network. LJ balks at the insanity of it—he's a Baltimore photographer, not an astronaut—until Drac explains that a bio-adaptive necklace called the Hakhol will let him breathe in the vacuum of space for twenty-four hours, and that teleportation will handle the trip despite its grueling physical toll. After a moment of hesitation, LJ's desperation and ambition override his survival instincts, and he agrees to the job, mentally calculating how twenty grand will transform his career. As LJ reluctantly agrees, Drac announces, 'Hold out your hands, LJ. The Hakhol is arriving.'

Reed

A 'post-life restorative' who looks like a zombie. He wears a tattered, old-fashioned suit smelling of formaldehyde. His skin is grey and peeling like parchment, his jaw is slightly detached, and one eye is a milky white. Despite his decaying appearance, his movements are deliberate.

Drac

Drac is never seen in person, only heard as a smooth, disembodied voice. Visually, he can be represented as a shadowy figure in a sharp suit, seen only in reflections or on flickering monitor screens, his face always obscured in darkness or digital static. His presence is felt, not seen.

LJ

protagonist

A young African-American man in his mid-20s with a lean build. He has short dreadlocks and expressive, often wide eyes. He dresses in practical, modern streetwear appropriate for Baltimore: hoodies, graphic tees, worn jeans, and sneakers, usually with a well-loved camera bag slung over his shoulder.

Eric Thomas

supporting

A very tall, like 7'10 elegant alien CEO with elongated limbs and a slender frame. His skin shimmers with an iridescent, oil-on-water quality. He wears a perfectly tailored suit that appears to be woven from solidified light, which subtly glows. His features are refined and non-human.

Intercom

A sleek, wall-mounted mechanical intercom speaker designed in a clean, minimalist manga sci-fi style. The unit features a circular metallic housing with a dark, fine-mesh speaker grille at its center. Faint, soft-blue concentric light rings pulse outwards from the center of the device to visually represent sound waves and active transmission. The casing is made of brushed aluminum with subtle, futuristic panel lines, seamlessly integrated into a smooth, light-colored wall.

PAGE 1

Panel 1:LJ materializes aboard the spaceship with a violent lurch, his body still convulsing from the sub-quantum jump. He staggers, clutching his stomach as he gets sick on the polished metallic floor of the ship's corridor.

LJ: Oh naw I have to do this every time. The money is good but this teleportation is crazy man.

Narrator:LJ slowly gets onto his feet, steadying himself against the corridor wall.

Panel 2:A sweeping wide-angle view of the sleek alien spaceship floating in the cosmic void. Stars twinkle in the infinite black, and in the distance, a blue marble glows—Earth, his home, now impossibly far away.

Narrator:LJ is no longer on Baltimore's streets. He is twenty thousand dollars richer, but also twenty thousand dollars in debt to the universe now.

PAGE 2

Panel 1:LJ sits on his bed, phone pressed to his ear, mid-conversation with Drac. The bedroom is modest, with his camera bag visible in the background and posters on the wall.

LJ: How does this necklace work?

Panel 2:Close-up on LJ's face as he listens intently, his eyes wide with interest and concern mixed together.

Drac: When you put it around your neck it will scan your body and adapt to you. I will teleport you to the spaceship and as soon as you are finished with the job I will teleport you back home safely.

Panel 3:LJ stands up from his bed, pacing excitedly as he absorbs Drac's words.

Drac: Just don't take it off if you're not home. LJ: I'm excited now. I didn't know trying to provide for my family would give me super powers.

Narrator:Super powers. The word hangs in the air like a promise.

PAGE 3

Panel 1:LJ sits back down on the bed, his excitement faltering as Drac's tone shifts. Reality sets in.

Drac: Teleporting is not fun at first, your whole body will be sore and feeling weird. You also might throw up...

Narrator:The reality check. The price of power.

Panel 2:LJ's face twists slightly in discomfort at the mention of sickness, but Drac continues.

Drac: ...but trust me your body will soon recover and adjust accordingly. LJ: Man I don't like throwing up, hopefully that doesn't happen.

Panel 3:LJ paces again, already moving to his next concern, rubbing the back of his neck.

LJ: Last question—what about my equipment? How will you teleport that?

PAGE 4

Panel 1:LJ stops pacing, waiting for Drac's answer about his precious camera gear.

Drac: If your backpack is attached to your body it will teleport with you but each client from now on will have equipment for you to use.

Panel 2:LJ's face brightens with relief. This solves a major problem.

Drac: Just pack up your backpack with your cameras—everything else will be provided. LJ: Wow that's good to know. I hate having to haul around equipment and gear. Very convenient for sure. Thanks for everything.

PAGE 5

Panel 1:Drac's voice crackles through the phone speaker.

Drac: I'm teleporting a box. Inside is the Hakhol necklace. Place out your hands LJ.

Panel 2:LJ extends his hands over his bed. A mysterious box materializes in mid-air above his open palms, glowing faintly with alien light.

LJ: Wow that is amazing!

Panel 3:LJ's hands tremble slightly as he carefully opens the box. Inside rests the Hakhol necklace—an artifact of impossible elegance, pulsing with subtle bio-technological energy.

Narrator:The artifact. The key. The point of no return.

PAGE 6

Panel 1:LJ carefully removes the elegant Hakhol necklace from the box. In the lamplight of his modest bedroom, it gleams with impossible detail—woven with intricate patterns that seem to shift and flow like liquid metal.

Panel 2:LJ takes a moment, hesitating. This is it. Once he puts it on, there's no going back. He closes his eyes and gently places the necklace around his neck.

Narrator:A moment of hesitation. A moment of faith.

Panel 3:The moment the necklace settles against his skin, it comes alive. Brilliant, otherworldly lights cascade across LJ's body in waves of blue, violet, and white. The Hakhol pulses with power as it begins scanning and adapting to his bio-signature.

Narrator:The fusion begins. The adaptation starts.

PAGE 7

Panel 1:The glow intensifies exponentially. LJ's body becomes a blazing beacon of otherworldly light. His eyes widen in shock as the power courses through him, every nerve ending screaming as the alien technology rewires his human biology.

Narrator:The bonding is not gentle. It is violent. It is transcendent.

Panel 2:LJ's silhouette is barely visible within the blinding cascade of violet, blue, and white light. His body convulses as the necklace completes its scan and adaptation. His knees buckle. He cannot stay standing.

Narrator:The cost of power is consciousness.

PAGE 8

Panel 1:LJ collapses to the floor, his body still glowing with residual energy from the bonding. He is completely unconscious, sprawled across the carpet.

Drac (on speaker): LJ are you there??? Wake up LJ!!!

Narrator:But there is only silence. LJ is out cold.

Panel 2:The phone lies on the floor next to LJ, Drac's muffled voice crying out from the speaker, unheard and unanswered.

Drac (on speaker): LJ! Come in LJ! Status report!

PAGE 9

Panel 1:LJ slowly regains consciousness on his bedroom floor. His vision is blurry at first, then comes into focus. His body still hums with residual energy from the Hakhol bond. Every muscle aches.

Narrator:Slowly. Very slowly. LJ wakes.

Panel 2:LJ's arm moves in slow motion as he reaches across the floor, his fingers finally wrapping around the phone. Drac's voice is still crackling frantically through the speaker.

LJ: Hello...

Panel 3:With great effort, LJ brings the phone to his ear. His voice is hoarse, weakened.

Drac: LJ are you okay? LJ: Yeah I'm good just got a lil dizzy after putting that necklace on. My body feels different.

PAGE 10

Panel 1:Still on the floor, LJ listens as Drac gives him new instructions.

Drac: Trust me don't worry your body will adapt soon. Grab your camera bag and brace yourself. I'm about to beam you to the spaceship. The owner of the ship his name is Eric Thomas.

Panel 2:LJ struggles to his feet, steadying himself against his bedroom wall. Every part of his body aches as he stands.

LJ: Hold up dang, let me catch my breath and drink some water.

Panel 3:LJ reaches for a water bottle on his nightstand and takes a long, desperate drink to calm his nerves. His camera bag sits ready on the bed, packed and waiting.

Drac (phone): Sure sure, you have 20 mins. (hangs up)

Narrator:LJ takes a moment to gather himself. This is really happening.

PAGE 11

Panel 1:Feeling more grounded, LJ grabs his camera bag and calls Drac back. His hands are still trembling slightly as he speaks, fear and excitement warring in his voice.

LJ: I'm scared but I'm ready.

Panel 2:In the unseen control room, Drac's finger hovers over the teleportation button. His stoic expression betrays nothing as he prepares to send LJ across the cosmos.

Drac: OK brace yourself.

Panel 3:LJ's entire body begins to shimmer and break apart into cascading streams of violet light. The Hakhol pulses with energy as the teleportation field activates. He gasps as reality itself seems to tear apart around him, his camera bag glued to his chest as he's pulled between worlds.

Narrator:The Hakhol activates. LJ is ripped between worlds.

Panel 3:LJ vomits onto the polished metallic floor of the spaceship corridor, his entire body convulsing with the effort.

LJ: Oh naw I have to do this every time. The money is good but this teleportation is crazy man.

Narrator:LJ slowly gets onto his feet, steadying himself against the corridor wall.
