Issue 3 part 1

Issue 7 opens on a quiet morning at gang headquarters. Orton, Jimenez, and Yanira try to connect with the traumatized young Sammy, until Jimenez's ridiculous antics finally crack a smile out of the boy. Jose returns with a plan to give Sammy a new identity and a better life in another city, but Orton rebuffs his attempt to reconnect. Later, Jimenez and Yanira share a tender private moment, dreaming about their future together. The night turns deadly when Borroto and Zhenna lead Myra Clan soldiers to the gang's headquarters mechanic shop, where Tutiven is working alone. Shot and cornered, Tutiven pulls a grenade and takes several Myra Clan members with him in a final defiant explosion.

PAGE 1

Panel 1:Wide establishing shot of the gang's converted apartment game room in daylight. The video game setup glows on a battered TV — controllers on the couch, nobody playing. Arjun sits slouched on the couch. Sammy, a small boy in pajamas, sits on the floor nearby, knees pulled to his chest. Tutiven works at a cluttered table covered in cybertech parts and tools. Orton and Yanira sit together on a second couch across the room. The room feels heavy and still.

Panel 2:Medium shot of Orton rising from the couch, a warm smile on her face. She steps toward Sammy and crouches down to his eye level, hands on her knees.

“Orton: Hey there, cutie. What's your name?”

Panel 3:Close-up on Sammy's face — wide, nervous eyes darting sideways. He says nothing. His small hands grip the fabric of Arjun's jeans as he shuffles behind Arjun's leg, pressing himself against it.

Panel 4:Medium shot of Arjun looking down at Sammy pressed against his leg. Arjun's expression is tired but gentle. He glances toward Orton with a small, resigned shrug.

“Arjun: He doesn't seem like much of a talker. After everything he saw… I get it.”

PAGE 2

Panel 1:Wide shot of Jimenez striding across the game room with exaggerated purpose, goofy grin plastered on his face. He drops into a dramatic crouch directly in front of Sammy, both knees hitting the floor at once.

“Jimenez: HEY, SAMMY! Don't you be scared!”

Panel 2:Medium shot of Jimenez flexing both arms upward in a full bodybuilder pose, chin thrust out, veins bulging in his neck, face twisted into the most ridiculous proud expression imaginable.

“Jimenez: Uncle Felix is gonna show you how to be big and strong! I'm practically a gorilla!”

Panel 3:Jimenez leans his goofy face in close to Sammy, eyebrows raised conspiratorially, pointing at his own wrist and ankle with one finger each.

“Jimenez: Wanna know the secret? Work out your wrists and ankles every single day!”

Panel 4:Close-up on Sammy's face — his wide nervous expression cracks. His cheeks push up, eyes squinting. He is laughing, a genuine open-mouthed laugh. His hands still grip Arjun's jeans but his whole body shakes with it.

Panel 5:Wide shot of the whole room. Arjun smiles. Orton's face softens with a grin. Yanira laughs from the couch. Tutiven glances up from his cybertech work with a quiet smile. Jimenez stands and jabs both thumbs at his own chest proudly.

“Jimenez: See?! He likes me!”

PAGE 3

Panel 1:Medium shot of Yanira on the couch, glancing around the room with a thoughtful look on her face, one hand gesturing loosely.

“Yanira: You know… we've gotta call the kid something.”

Panel 2:Medium shot of Orton crouching beside Sammy again, her expression warm and open. She tilts her head to the side, speaking directly to the boy.

“Orton: How about Sammy? That's a cute name for a cute kid.”

Panel 3:Medium shot of Arjun looking down at Sammy. Sammy looks up at Arjun. A beat passes between them. Arjun gives a small, decisive nod.

“Arjun: Sammy it is.”

Panel 4:Close-up on Sammy's face. His expression is still fragile but the corners of his mouth turn upward in a faint, tentative smile.

Panel 5:Wide shot of the apartment game room. The door swings open. Jose stands in the doorway, blonde hair catching the light from the hall. His face is calm — no trace of the anger from before. Everyone in the room turns toward him.

“Jose: I got it figured out, guys. Everything's gonna be okay.”

PAGE 4

Panel 1:Medium shot of Arjun rising from the couch, posture straight, arms at his sides. His face is alert, waiting.

“Arjun: How?”

Panel 2:Medium shot of Jose stepping further into the room, hands relaxed at his sides. His blonde hair is neat. He speaks with measured confidence.

“Jose: I've got a connect who makes fake identities. He'll give Sammy a new name and move him to another city.”

Panel 3:Medium close-up on Jose. He looks directly toward Arjun, voice steady, tone reassuring.

“Jose: With how young he is, he'll get adopted fast. Best-case scenario for him.”

Panel 4:Medium shot of Arjun, arms crossed, brow slightly furrowed. Not hostile — just cautious.

“Arjun: How can we trust this connect?”

Panel 5:Medium shot of Jose, one hand raised palm-out in a calm gesture. His expression is matter-of-fact.

“Jose: He's got no reason to screw us. Besides — I'll owe him big.”

Panel 6:Medium close-up on Jose looking directly at Arjun, tone shifting slightly — quieter, more direct.

“Jose: As for you… Myra's not gonna forget your face. Lay low here until this blows over.”

PAGE 5

Panel 1:Medium shot of Arjun giving a single slow nod, expression resolute.

“Arjun: Not a problem. I'll do what I gotta do.”

Panel 2:Wide shot of Jose addressing the whole room — Arjun, Jimenez, Yanira, Orton, Tutiven, and Sammy all visible. Jose's posture is commanding but calm, one finger raised.

“Jose: Now — all of you stay here. I've got one more errand before we set this in motion.”

Panel 3:Medium shot of Jose turning his gaze toward Orton specifically. His expression softens — almost hopeful.

“Jose: Orton… you wanna tag along?”

Panel 4:Medium close-up on Orton. Her arms fold across her chest. Her expression is calm but firm — not angry, just closed off.

“Orton: No thanks. I'll stay here.”

Panel 5:Two-shot of Jose and Orton facing each other. Jose's expression has dropped slightly — the confidence cracked. He speaks again, quieter.

“Jose: Orton… I think we could use some time together right now. Orton: We'll talk. But first I need time to myself. Tomorrow.”

Panel 6:Close-up on Jose's face. His jaw is set. His eyes carry a quiet hurt. He gives a single curt nod.

“Jose: …Fine. Tomorrow it is.”

PAGE 6

Panel 1:Wide shot of a small bedroom in the gang's apartment. Jimenez and Yanira sit side by side on the edge of a bed, close together. The room is dim, personal — a window shows the late afternoon light outside. Yanira smiles softly at nothing in particular.

“Yanira: It was really nice having Sammy around. I hope he's gonna be okay.”

Panel 2:Medium shot of Jimenez looking sideways at Yanira, his goofy face carrying an unusual hint of genuine feeling. He rubs the back of his neck.

“Jimenez: You know… maybe we should adopt Sammy. He's my best friend, after all.”

Panel 3:Medium shot of Yanira, laughing softly, shaking her head with affection. She looks at him directly.

“Yanira: I'd love that. But he can't stay here. Myra would always be hunting him.”

Panel 4:Close-up on Jimenez. His smile fades slightly. He lets out a long sigh, looking at the floor between his feet.

“Jimenez: Yeah…”

Panel 5:Medium shot of Jimenez lifting his head and turning to face Yanira fully. His expression is open and earnest — a rare unguarded look on his usually-goofy face.

“Jimenez: Well… we could always have our own kid.”

Panel 6:Wide shot of the bedroom. Yanira's eyes go wide for a half-second — then she launches herself off the bed and wraps both arms around Jimenez's neck, legs around his waist. Jimenez catches her, stumbling back a step, laughing out loud. Both of them are grinning.

“Yanira: Baby, I would LOVE that! Let's start working on it right now! Jimenez: Yeah?! A little Jimenez Jr. running around?!”

PAGE 7

Panel 1:Establishing shot. Night. The exterior of the gang's abandoned apartment building. A makeshift mechanic shop occupies the ground-floor garage area — a vehicle up on blocks, tools hanging on pegboards, cybertech parts stacked on shelves. A single work lamp swings overhead. The surrounding street is dark and empty. Tutiven stands over the vehicle, wrench in hand. Don’t have a sign anywhere that says Myra clan.

Narrator:“Later that night.”

Panel 2:Close-up on Tutiven's hands tightening a bolt with a wrench. A sharp metallic CLICK. He pulls the wrench free and wipes his hands on a rag. Then his head turns sharply to the left — something caught his attention.

Panel 3:Wide shot from behind Tutiven, looking out into the dark street. In the shadows stand Borroto — massive frame, red pulse-energy hammer hanging at his side — and Zhenna — slim, composed, suppressed pistol at her hip. Behind them, several Myra Clan members in sharp suits and ties line the street in silence, faces unreadable.

“Borroto: Any chance you've seen a puny Asian guy… …walking around with a Mexican kid?”

Panel 4:Medium shot of Borroto stepping forward one pace, his enormous frame filling the frame. His expression is flat and businesslike. He tilts his head slightly.

“Borroto: Put your hands where I can see them kid.”

Panel 5:Medium close-up on Tutiven's face. His eyes go wide. Sweat catches the work lamp light on his forehead. His jaw tightens — the recognition is instant and total. Then his body pivots and he runs.

Panel 6:Wide shot. Zhenna raises her suppressed pistol in one smooth, unhurried motion, arm fully extended, eye down the sight. Three muzzle flashes. POP POP POP. Tutiven's gets shot in the back mid run and is a semi falling or tripping pose

“Zhenna: There!”

Panel 7:Ground-level shot. Tutiven lies face-down on the concrete, one arm clawing forward. Two Myra Clan soldiers in suits walk toward him from either side, weapons pointed down. One of them crouches slightly, gesturing with his gun barrel. One of the MYRA clan gangsters is saying

“Tutiven: AHHH!”

Narrator:“He doesn't stop moving.”

Panel 8:Close-up on Tutiven laying on his back raised hands. One holding a grenade, the other sticking the middle finger out. A grin is visible on his bloodied face.

“Tutiven: How 'bout a finger?”

Panel 9:Full-width panel. A massive explosion tears through the mechanic shop. The entire structure erupts in a column of orange and white fire. Debris — tools, cybertech parts, vehicle panels — blasts outward in every direction. The dark street is lit up like day. Several suited figures are hurled backward by the force of the blast. A black smoke cloud billows upward into the neon Vena City night sky. Then — silence. A single piece of Tutiven's equipment falls from the burning wreckage and hits the pavement with a hollow, ringing clang. The panel cuts to black.

Narrator:“BOOM.”
