Issue 6 part 2
Issue 18 — 'Issue 6 Part 2' — opens in the immediate aftermath of Issue 17's shocking conclusion: Slik stands in Momma Noche's office, blood on his hands and face, staring at what he has done. He sits in her chair and studies his trembling hands — the same gesture that has haunted him throughout the series. Then the unthinkable happens: Momma Noche's impaled body, his Samurai blade still jutting from her abdomen, begins to speak. She smirks up at him and tells him he cannot get rid of her that easily. Slik's shock erupts into violence — a single panel of his boot stomping downward implies the brutal finality of the act without showing it explicitly. When Kaleen and a Club noche enforcer rush into the office, they find Slik standing over Momma Noche's partially visible, blood-soaked body. Kaleen's face crumbles in horror. She calls Slik a monster and flees the office. Slik stands motionless, blood streaked across his face, utterly alone. Days later at the precinct, Creed Rivers rounds a corner on his way to a department-wide mission briefing and finds Aline Fonseca blocking his path. She confronts him about being excluded from the meeting and the mission. Creed protests that she just left the hospital. Aline fires back that chloroform is nothing compared to what Slik did to Creed in their last fight. A raw, honest moment passes between them — Creed admits he feared losing her; Aline reminds him she is a cop who signed up for exactly this. She vows to see every last Noche put away. Creed accepts it, opens the meeting room door, and lets her walk in beside him. Inside, Chief addresses the full department, announcing that the Noche reign ends now and that Creed Rivers will lead the operation. Officer Matt Steel immediately challenges the decision, citing Creed's criminal past and short tenure. Officer Vargas defends Creed forcefully, pointing out that Creed is the only officer to have entered Club Noche and survived — twice. All eyes fall on Creed. He addresses the room plainly: he is not asking for blind loyalty, only teamwork and trust in the plan. He promises that if they execute properly, no officer will be lost. The room falls silent. No one objects. Creed presents the plan. Meanwhile, back at Club Noche, Slik sits behind his new desk counting cash — the new boss of the Noche empire. But the ghost of Momma Noche materializes across from him, taunting him about his leadership and comparing him unfavorably to herself. A Club noche enforcer enters and reports that Kaleen has been located. Slik orders them to leave her alone. The imaginary Momma Noche urges him to bring Kaleen in and kill her for abandoning him. Slik refuses quietly, admitting that Kaleen saw what he truly is and that it is better this way. Momma Noche's hallucination screams at him to stop being soft and let the monster out. When Slik looks in the mirror, he sees something monstrous looking back. The day before the raid, Chief pulls Creed aside with new intelligence: an informant has confirmed that Slik killed Momma Noche and seized control of Club Noche — and that he has completely unraveled, murdering people indiscriminately and holding full conversations with his dead mother's hallucination. Creed absorbs this and states grimly that Slik did not just take over — he became her. Chief warns Creed that tomorrow he will not simply be fighting a gang leader. He will be fighting whatever is left of a shattered mind. That night, the entire Vena City police force descends on Club Noche. Creed Rivers, Aline Fonseca, Officer Vargas, and Officer Matt Steel breach the front doors as one unit. Steel leads with his high-tech signature shotgun — concussive mode first, then lethal when the Noche guards escalate to live fire. When a Club noche enforcer disarms Steel, he activates his gorilla-fist gauntlets and tears through the room bare-handed before reclaiming his weapon. Aline dual-wields her rapid-fire pistols with surgical precision, then swaps to explosive rounds to shred through a wave of heavily armored Noche soldiers. Officer Vargas methodically cracks skulls with his reinforced electrified baton, then deploys the mini laser cannon mounted on his shoulder to cut through armored resistance while picking off stragglers with his scoped assault rifle. The squad pushes deeper into the club. When another massive wave of Noche men floods a corridor and pins the team down, Steel orders the others to push forward while he holds the line — locking eyes with Creed with a single warning not to make him regret it. Creed, Aline, and Vargas press deeper until they spot Slik sprinting down a corridor. Creed surges ahead. A fresh squad of heavily armored Noche soldiers erupts from side hallways and pins Aline and Vargas under heavy fire. Aline shouts for Creed to keep going. Creed refuses to leave them. Vargas grabs his attention over the gunfire and swears on his life that he will not let Aline fall — ordering Creed forward. Creed hesitates one beat, nods, and pushes on alone. He bursts into the room Slik fled into — empty. He activates his orange glowing cybernetic detective-vision eyes, scans the floor, and follows footprints to a large carpet. He pulls it back to reveal a trap door. He drops into a narrow underground tunnel and gives chase. Slik blind-fires back at him through the dim corridor — shots ricocheting off tunnel walls as Creed weaves forward. The tunnel opens into an abandoned industrial area. Slik sprints into an old warehouse at the far end. Creed pings his location to Chief and the squad, then advances. He approaches the warehouse carefully but gunfire tears through the entrance. He dives behind the outer wall. Silence falls. Creed calls out for Slik to surrender. Slik refuses. What follows is the most psychologically charged exchange of the entire series — Creed apologizing for Joker's death, acknowledging he was manipulated, and offering Slik a genuine chance at peace. Slik reveals the depth of his grief and rage. Creed notes that Slik went out of his way to keep Aline alive — proof that there is still something human inside him. But when Slik refuses to surrender, Creed offers him the same deal Slik once gave him: weapons down, bare hands, winner takes all. Slik accepts. They square up one final time inside the warehouse. The fight is different from their previous clashes — both men are calm, focused, reading each other with frightening precision. It becomes a brutal chess match. Creed spots Slik favoring his previously broken ribs and drives a punch into them, dropping Slik. But the imaginary Momma Noche appears at Slik's side urging him to let the monster out. Slik uses Creed's hesitation to headbutt him savagely and seize control of the fight. He bludgeons Creed with relentless strikes, a devastating knee, and a soccer-style kick to the skull that leaves Creed barely conscious on the concrete floor. Slik retrieves his Samurai blade and advances. Then Aline Fonseca bursts through the warehouse entrance with her pistol raised, ordering Slik to freeze. Slik hurls the Samurai blade at her as a distraction, charges, punches her down, and kicks her weapon away. The imaginary Momma Noche immediately urges Slik to kill Aline in front of Creed to make him suffer. Slik argues back out loud — he will not torture her, he just needs to finish Creed. Through the haze, Creed realizes Slik is arguing with Momma Noche's hallucination about Aline's fate. He forces himself upright and makes a calculated decision. He begins quietly, coldly, feeding Slik fabricated insults supposedly spoken by Momma Noche — that Slik is a disappointment, that she would never have put him in charge, that she wishes Slik had died instead of Joker. Each word cracks Slik's composure further. Creed delivers the final trap: 'Then why is she laughing right behind you?' Slik turns — and in his fractured mind, Momma Noche stands behind him, cold and smiling, confirming every cruelty Creed just named. Slik's mind shatters completely. He screams, grabs his Samurai blade, and drives it forward — stabbing her through the chest. The hallucination collapses. Slik drops to his knees, cradling empty air, whispering that he is sorry and that she made him do it again. From Creed's perspective, Slik is kneeling alone, holding nothing. Then Slik's grief twists into rage. He screams that Creed caused all of this and charges forward with a final battle cry. Creed raises his magnum blaster revolver. A single thunderous shot echoes through the warehouse. Slik drops dead. Creed stands over the body in silence. He narrates: on the final night of the Noche gang, he did not see victory. He saw a man pushed into violence by his own family's abuse. A man who would kill for his brother. A man corrupted and broken by the city — and that feeling was all too relatable. Creed helps Aline to her feet and they walk outside together. They sit on a concrete step as the city falls silent for the first time in what feels like forever. The sun slowly rises over Vena City. Police sirens approach in the distance. The rest of the Vena PD arrives after securing Club Noche. A cruiser stops. Aline — already outside — squeezes Creed's arm. He looks at the sunrise. It is finally over. Page-by-page breakdown: - Pages 1-2: Immediate aftermath of Issue 17's cliffhanger. Slik stands alone in Momma Noche's office, blood splattered across his face and clothes, his Samurai blade jutting from her abdomen. He sits heavily in her chair and stares at his hands — the recurring gesture that has defined his psychological unraveling throughout the series. Then Momma Noche's impaled body stirs. Despite the blade through her gut, she smirks up at Slik and tells him he does not think he can get rid of her that easily. Slik's eyes go wide with shock, then something darker takes over. A single brutal panel — Slik's boot descending, the implication unmistakable — closes the act without showing it explicitly. The office goes still. [Characters: Slik, Momma Noche] - Pages 2-3: Kaleen and a Club noche enforcer rush into Momma Noche's office after hearing the commotion. They enter to find Slik standing with his back partially to them, blood on his face and hands. Behind him, a partial, non-explicit view of Momma Noche's body is visible on the floor. Kaleen's expression collapses into pure horror. She stares at Slik — the man she embraced and tried to save — and says quietly, devastatingly: '…you are a monster.' She turns and runs from the office. The Club noche enforcer stands frozen. Slik does not move, does not speak. He simply stands with blood on his face, utterly alone in the silence of the office he has just inherited through violence. [Characters: Slik, Kaleen, Club noche enforcer, Momma Noche] - Pages 3-4: A title card reads: 'A Few Days Later — The Precinct.' Creed Rivers walks the precinct hallway toward a department-wide mission briefing. Aline Fonseca steps directly into his path, arms crossed. She immediately calls him out for not telling her about the meeting or the mission. Creed protests that she just got out of the hospital. Aline fires back that chloroform is nothing — and that from what she saw, Slik beat Creed far worse than he beat her. A raw moment passes. Creed admits that for a moment he thought he was going to lose her, and he cannot go through that again. Aline's expression softens only slightly. She reminds him that she has had to think the same thing about him — and that she is a cop. This is who she is. She steps closer and tells him that if these people are coming after him, she is not stopping until every last one of them is put away. Creed nods slowly. 'Alright,' he says. 'Then let's finish this.' He opens the meeting room door and lets her walk in beside him. [Characters: Creed Rivers, Aline Fonseca, Aline] - Pages 4-5: The department-wide meeting. Chief stands at the front of the room and addresses every officer present. The Noches have had control of this city for too long — that ends now. He announces that Detective Creed Rivers will lead the operation. A murmur ripples through the room. Officer Matt Steel immediately stands and challenges the decision — Creed has barely been with the department six months, and half the room knows he used to run with the criminal underworld. The tension is electric. Officer Vargas steps forward and shuts Steel down with measured authority: Creed is not one of them anymore, and more importantly, he is the only person in this building who has walked straight into Club Noche and come out alive — twice. He is exactly what this operation needs. All eyes shift to Creed. He steps forward, scans the room, and speaks plainly. He is not asking anyone to like him. He is not asking for blind faith. He is asking for teamwork. If any part of the plan does not sit right, they adjust it together. The Noches have killed too many of their own. If they do this right, they take the gang down without losing a single officer. He asks if anyone has a problem with that. Silence. Creed nods once. 'Good. Here's the plan.' [Characters: Chief, Creed Rivers, Aline Fonseca, Officer Matt Steel, Officer Vargas, Aline] - Pages 5-6: Cut to Club Noche. Slik sits behind Momma Noche's desk — now his desk — counting cash with mechanical calm. Then the hallucination appears: Momma Noche materializes across the room, taunting him. She tells him she is proud of him for taking over the Noches but adds with venom that he will never be the leader she was. A Club noche enforcer enters and nervously reports that they found the girl Slik was looking for — Kaleen. He asks if they should bring her in. Slik is silent for a long beat, then says quietly: 'No. Leave her be.' The enforcer exits. The imaginary Momma Noche immediately pushes back — Slik should bring Kaleen in and kill her for leaving him. Slik responds in a low voice: Kaleen saw what he did to Momma Noche. She saw what he really is. It is better this way. The hallucination screams that this is exactly who he is — a monster — and that he should stop being soft and let the monster out. Slik slowly turns and looks into a mirror on the wall. In the reflection, something monstrous stares back at him — his own face twisted into something he barely recognizes. [Characters: Slik, Momma Noche, Club noche enforcer, Kaleen] - Pages 6-7: Back at the precinct, the day before the raid. Chief pulls Creed aside in a quiet corridor. He tells Creed they have an interesting development from a Noche informant: Slik killed Momma Noche and has taken over the gang. Creed's first reaction is that this is not necessarily a bad thing. Chief shakes his head — there is more. They are saying Slik has completely lost his mind. He is killing people indiscriminately, talking to himself constantly in his office, worse than Momma Noche ever was. Chief tells Creed flatly: they say he is talking to his imaginary dead mother. If it is true, he is going to be more dangerous than ever. Creed absorbs this and says quietly: 'So he didn't just take over. He's become her.' Chief nods grimly. Tomorrow, Creed will not be fighting a gang leader. He will be fighting whatever is left of Slik's mind. [Characters: Chief, Creed Rivers] - Pages 7-8: Late at night. The streets around Club Noche are nearly empty. The entire Vena City police force strikes simultaneously — bashing open the front doors and storming inside. The initial wave uses non-lethal measures: batons, flashbangs, concussive rounds. When the Noche guards pull firearms, the police respond in kind and all-out war erupts through the club's entrance hall. Creed Rivers, Aline Fonseca, Officer Vargas, and Officer Matt Steel move as a single coordinated unit. Steel leads with his high-tech signature shotgun in concussive mode, launching heavy impact blasts that hurl Noche men into walls. When the gang opens fire with lethal intent, Steel switches to lethal rounds without hesitation — the next blast tears through a thug's chest, another takes an arm off. A Club noche enforcer blindsides Steel and knocks the shotgun from his hands. Steel activates his gorilla-fist gauntlets. The first punch sends the attacker flying across the room with a thunderous crack. Steel delivers crushing blows that drop multiple Noche men before calmly reclaiming his weapon. [Characters: Creed Rivers, Aline Fonseca, Officer Vargas, Officer Matt Steel, Club noche enforcer, Aline] - Pages 8-9: The battle continues deeper into Club Noche. Aline Fonseca steps forward with dual rapid-fire pistols, moving with precise controlled bursts and dropping enemies one by one. When a wave of heavily armored Noche soldiers floods in, she ejects her magazines mid-motion and loads explosive rounds. The blasts detonate on impact, tearing through the special armor and dropping the soldiers in smoking heaps. Officer Vargas advances methodically — cracking skulls with his reinforced electrified baton, dropping a thug with the electrified end to the chest, then activating the mini laser cannon mounted on his shoulder when resistance thickens. It auto-tracks armored targets with searing precision while Vargas picks off the rest with his scoped assault rifle. The squad clears the room and pushes into the next. Another massive wave of Noche men floods in — too many, and the team is losing time. Steel reloads and steps forward, telling the others to keep moving. He glances at Creed and tells him not to make him regret this. Creed nods once and the squad pushes forward. [Characters: Creed Rivers, Aline Fonseca, Officer Vargas, Officer Matt Steel, Aline] - Pages 9-10: Creed, Aline, and Officer Vargas push deeper into Club Noche, clearing Noche members from their path. Then they spot Slik — sprinting down a far corridor toward a private room. Creed immediately surges ahead, outpacing the others. A fresh squad of heavily armored Noche soldiers explodes from side hallways, cutting Aline and Vargas off with overwhelming fire. The three dive for cover as bullets tear through the walls. Aline shouts for Creed to keep moving — they will cover him. Creed refuses to leave them. Vargas grabs his attention over the gunfire: he swears on his life he will not leave this place without Aline, and orders Creed to go get Slik for all of them. Creed hesitates one beat, then nods. He turns and pushes forward alone. He bursts into the room Slik fled into — empty. He activates his orange glowing cybernetic detective-vision eyes, scans the floor, and follows footprints to a large carpet. He pulls it back: a trap door. He drops into a narrow underground tunnel and sprints. Ahead, Slik runs through the dim corridor, firing blind back at Creed. Shots ricochet off the tunnel walls as Creed ducks and weaves forward. The tunnel opens into an abandoned industrial area. Slik sprints into an old warehouse. Creed pings his location to Chief and the squad, then moves. [Characters: Creed Rivers, Aline Fonseca, Officer Vargas, Slik, Aline] - Pages 10-11: Outside the warehouse. Creed approaches carefully but gunfire explodes through the entrance. He dives behind the outer wall. After a few seconds, silence falls. Creed calls out for Slik to come out with his hands up. Slik tells him he cannot do that. What follows is the most psychologically charged dialogue exchange of the entire arc. Creed apologizes for Joker's death — he regrets being part of it, acknowledges he was manipulated, but insists it had to end. He tells Slik he knows he is not a bad man. Slik challenges him — Creed does not know half of what he has done. Creed responds that he knows Slik let Aline live and went out of his way to make sure she was not hurt — and that is not something an evil man does. He asks what Slik is doing wrapped up in all this under someone like Momma Noche. Slik's jaw tightens: she is his mother. Creed offers him a genuine chance — surrender peacefully, get the help he needs, and he will not go down for Momma Noche's crimes. Slik refuses. He will never surrender to the man who killed his brother. He will never stop coming after Creed. Creed exhales — fine. He offers Slik the same deal Slik once gave him: weapons down, bare hands, winner takes all. Slik tosses his gun aside and drops his Samurai blade. Creed throws his magnum blaster revolver across the warehouse floor. The metal clatters against concrete. They square up inside the warehouse — one final time. [Characters: Creed Rivers, Slik] - Pages 11-12: The final fight begins. Creed and Slik rush each other without hesitation — fists colliding with bone-cracking force. But this fight is different from every previous clash. Both men are calm, focused, reading each other with frightening precision. Every punch is anticipated, every strike countered, every counter countered again. It becomes a brutal chess match of fists and instinct. Creed notices Slik favoring his ribs — still damaged from their last fight. He waits for an opening and drives a powerful punch directly into them. Slik drops. But the imaginary Momma Noche appears at Slik's side, smiling coldly and urging him to let the monster out. In the split second Creed hesitates, Slik lunges forward and slams a vicious headbutt into Creed's face. Creed stumbles back. Slik seizes control, pressing forward with relentless precision. He drives a devastating knee strike into Creed's torso. Creed collapses to one knee. Before he can recover, Slik swings a brutal soccer-style kick into the side of Creed's skull. Creed crashes to the concrete. His vision blurs. His hearing fades. He is barely conscious. The imaginary Momma Noche tells Slik to finish him. Slik retrieves his Samurai blade and begins approaching the downed Creed. [Characters: Creed Rivers, Slik, Momma Noche] - Pages 12-13: From the warehouse entrance: 'Freeze!' Aline Fonseca stands with her pistol raised at Slik. Slik reacts instantly — he hurls his Samurai blade at her as a distraction. She fires but misses. Slik charges, punches her down hard, and kicks her gun away. Creed is still half-conscious on the floor. The imaginary Momma Noche immediately begins urging Slik — this is his chance for true vengeance. Kill the girl in front of Creed. Make him suffer. Slik argues back out loud: no, they do not have to do it that way. He mutters under his breath that killing Aline to torture Creed does not make him weak. Through the haze, Creed realizes Slik is not talking to himself — he is arguing with Momma Noche's hallucination about whether to kill Aline. The realization cuts through the fog. Creed forces himself upright. He remembers what he heard about Slik's imaginary mother — the constant belittling, the dominance, Slik's deep resentment of it. He makes a decision. Quietly, coldly, he speaks: 'She's right, Slik… you are weak.' Slik's head snaps toward him. Creed continues — Momma Noche told the Chief what a disappointment Slik is. She said she would never have put him in charge of Club Noche. She said she wishes Slik had died instead of Joker. Each word cracks Slik further. Then Creed delivers the trap: 'Then why is she laughing — right behind you?' [Characters: Creed Rivers, Slik, Aline Fonseca, Momma Noche, Aline] - Pages 13-14: Slik slowly turns. From his perspective, the hallucinated Momma Noche stands behind him — cold, smiling. In his fractured mind she speaks: it is true. She does wish Slik had died instead of Joker. He will never lead Club Noche. Slik's mind shatters completely. With a scream of rage he grabs his Samurai blade from the floor. The hallucination laughs — tells him he is too weak to do it. Slik roars and drives the blade straight forward, stabbing her through the chest. The hallucination collapses. Instantly, his rage dissolves. Only regret remains. Slik drops to his knees, cradling empty air, his voice trembling as he whispers that he is sorry — that she made him do it again. The scene cuts back to Creed's perspective: Slik is kneeling alone on the warehouse floor, holding nothing. Then Slik's grief twists. His attention shifts slowly back to Creed — eyes still fixed on where Momma Noche's hallucination fell — his face twisted with grief and rage. He screams that Creed did this. None of it would have happened if not for him. Slik rises to his feet and turns — only to find Creed already standing, magnum blaster revolver raised and aimed directly at him. Slik hesitates. The world goes silent for one brief moment. Then Slik screams and charges forward with a final battle cry. Creed pulls the trigger. The thunderous shot echoes through the warehouse. The blast tears straight through Slik's eye socket. He drops to the ground — dead. [Characters: Creed Rivers, Slik, Momma Noche, Aline Fonseca, Aline] - Pages 14-15: Aftermath. Creed stands over Slik's body and does not move. He simply stares, absorbing the full weight of everything that just happened. For a brief moment he feels as though he is staring into a mirror of his own possible future. He begins to narrate internally: on the final night of the Noche gang, he did not see victory. He saw a man pushed into violence by his own family's abuse. A man who would kill for his brother. A man corrupted and broken by this city. A man broken by it all — and that feeling was all too relatable. Creed turns, moves to Aline Fonseca, and helps her carefully to her feet. Together they walk outside the warehouse and sit down on a concrete step. The city is completely quiet. No fighting. No gunfire. No chaos. Just silence. The sun begins to rise slowly over Vena City — the first dawn of a city without the Noche gang. Creed and Aline watch the sunrise without saying a word. Then, in the distance, police sirens begin to approach. The rest of the Vena PD arrives — having successfully secured Club Noche. Officer Vargas and Officer Matt Steel emerge from arriving cruisers. A police cruiser door swings open. Aline — already seated beside Creed — squeezes his arm. Creed looks up at the rising sun one final time. It is finally over. The last panel is a wide noir shot of Creed and Aline silhouetted against the pale dawn, the neon of Club Noche fading behind them, the city breathing again. Panel 4:Medium shot of Officer Vargas rising from his seat on the opposite side of the room. He stands fully upright, arms uncrossing, his posture rigid and commanding. His eyes cut toward Steel.

Panel 5:Wide shot from behind the rows of officers, all heads turned toward the front of the room where Creed now stands beside the podium. He faces the full department, posture open, hands at his sides.

Panel 6:Wide shot of the briefing room. Every officer is still and silent, watching Creed at the front. No one has moved. Creed scans the room slowly with a steady expression. Chief stands just behind him.
“Creed Rivers: Anyone got a problem with that?”

Panel 1:Establishing shot of Club Noche's private office — now Slik's. The desk is large and ornate, covered in stacked bundles of cash. Slik sits behind it in Momma Noche's chair, methodically counting bills with both hands, his expression blank and mechanical. The room is dim, lit by a single lamp and neon light bleeding under the door from the club below.
Panel 2:Medium shot across the office. On the far side of the room, the hallucinated figure of Momma Noche stands — solid and composed, dressed exactly as she was in life, arms folded, watching Slik with cold amusement. Slik's eyes are fixed on her, his hands still on the cash.
“Slik: …you again.”
Panel 3:Close-up on the hallucinated Momma Noche's face — a proud, venomous smirk on her lips, one brow arched high.
“Momma Noche: Proud of you for taking over. But you'll never be the leader I was.”
Panel 4:The office door opens partway. A Club noche enforcer leans in, one hand on the door frame, his posture nervous and deferential, eyes on Slik.
“Club noche enforcer : Boss… we found the girl. Kaleen. Want us to bring her in?”
Panel 5:Close-up on Slik's face. His expression is flat, his jaw set. He does not look at the enforcer. His eyes are lowered toward the desk.
“Slik: …No. Leave her be.”
PAGE 7
Panel 1:Medium shot of the hallucinated Momma Noche stepping closer to the desk, her expression shifting from amused to demanding. She points one finger toward the door the enforcer just left through.
“Momma Noche: You should bring her in. Kill her for leaving you.”
Panel 2:Medium shot of Slik behind the desk, elbows resting on the surface, hands folded, speaking toward the hallucination without raising his voice. His expression is quiet and resolute.
“Slik: She saw what I did to you. She saw what I really am. It's better this way.”
Panel 3:Wide shot of the office. The hallucinated Momma Noche stands tall, arms thrown open, mouth open in a shout. Slik remains seated behind the desk, his posture unchanged, absorbing it.
“Momma Noche: This IS who you are — a monster! Stop being soft and let it out!”
Panel 4:Full-length shot of Slik standing in front of a large rectangular mirror mounted on the office wall. He stares at his own reflection. In the mirror, his reflection's face is twisted — jaw wider, eyes darker and sunken, expression predatory and inhuman. The distortion is visible and explicit.
PAGE 8
Panel 1:Medium shot of a narrow precinct corridor. Chief stands against the wall, arms folded, speaking in a low voice to Creed, who faces him. No other officers are present. The corridor is dim at this end, lit only by a distant overhead light.
“Chief: Son… we've got an interesting development.”
Panel 2:Over-shoulder shot from behind Chief, looking at Creed. Creed's expression is alert and still.
“Chief: An informant confirmed it. Slik killed Momma Noche. He's taken over the gang.”
Panel 3:Medium-close on Creed. He processes the information with a slight tilt of his head, expression cautious but not alarmed.
“Creed Rivers: That's not necessarily a bad thing.”
Panel 4:Close-up on Chief's face. His expression is grave, brows drawn together, mouth set in a hard line. He shakes his head once.
“Chief: There's more. He's killing people indiscriminately. Talking to himself constantly. They say he's talking to his imaginary dead mother.”
Panel 5:Medium-close on Creed. His jaw tightens. His eyes drop for one beat, then come back up to Chief's.
“Creed Rivers: So he didn't just take over. He's become her.”
Panel 6:Wide two-shot of Chief and Creed facing each other in the narrow corridor. Chief leans slightly toward him, his voice low and final.
“Chief: Tomorrow you're not fighting a gang leader. You're fighting whatever's left of his mind.”
PAGE 9
Panel 1:Wide establishing shot of Club Noche's exterior at night. The neon sign blazes above the entrance. The surrounding streets are nearly empty — a few parked cars, no pedestrians. Then, from three directions, police vehicles roll in without sirens, headlights cutting the dark. Officers pour out and form up at the entrance.
Narrator:“Late night. The streets around Club Noche go quiet for the last time.”
Panel 2:Ground-level wide shot. The front doors of Club Noche explode inward as officers ram through them. Flashbang grenades arc through the air trailing white smoke. The entrance hall beyond erupts in chaos — Noche guards scrambling, furniture overturning.
Panel 3:Medium shot of Officer Matt Steel at the front of the breach. He grips his high-tech signature shotgun in both hands, stance wide, barrel leveled. He fires a concussive blast — a wide visible shockwave ring erupts from the muzzle, slamming two Noche guards off their feet and into the far wall.
Panel 4:A Noche guard levels a pistol and opens fire. Three other guards draw weapons simultaneously. Gunfire erupts from both sides. The entrance hall fills with muzzle flashes and flying debris.
Panel 5:Medium shot of Officer Matt Steel. He has switched the shotgun's mode — a small toggle click visible on the receiver. He fires: the blast tears through a Noche guard's chest. Steel's expression does not change.
PAGE 10
Panel 1:A Club noche enforcer lunges from the side and smashes the shotgun out of Steel's hands with a metal bar. The weapon clatters across the floor. Steel stands with empty hands, looking down at the enforcer who just disarmed him.
Panel 2:Close-up on Steel's forearms as he activates a pair of massive mechanical gauntlets that lock over both hands — the knuckles reinforced with thick plated metal, the shape hulking and gorilla-like. His fists clench.
Panel 3:Wide action shot. Steel's first gauntlet punch connects with the Club noche enforcer's torso — the impact sends the enforcer flying horizontally across the room, crashing through a table. Steel is already stepping toward the next target, fist drawn back.
Panel 4:Wide action shot: Aline Fonseca advances through a different section of the entrance hall, both rapid-fire pistols raised and firing simultaneously. She moves between two pillars, each shot precise and controlled, Noche men dropping ahead of her in sequence.
Panel 5:Medium shot: Officer Vargas drives the electrified end of his reinforced baton into a Noche guard's chest. Blue electricity arcs across the point of contact. The guard convulses and drops. Vargas's expression is locked and methodical.
Panel 6:Wide shot of the cleared entrance hall. Steel has retrieved his shotgun and slings it over his shoulder. The four squad members — Creed, Aline, Vargas, Steel — stand in a loose formation, surrounded by downed Noche men. A door at the far end leads deeper into the club. Creed points toward it.
“Creed Rivers: Keep moving.”
PAGE 11
Panel 1:Inside the warehouse. Creed Rivers and Slik face each other ten feet apart, both in fighting stances, fists raised. The space is wide and industrial — cracked concrete floor, rusted steel beams overhead, pale moonlight cutting through broken skylights. Both men are still, reading each other.
Panel 2:Close-up on their hands mid-exchange — Creed's fist driving toward Slik's guard, Slik's forearm rising to block, the impact visible as a blur of motion. Both men's knuckles are scraped and raw.
Panel 3:Medium shot of Creed's eyes — narrowed, scanning downward. His gaze is fixed on Slik's left side, where Slik's arm presses slightly inward against his own ribs as he pivots.
Panel 4:Wide action shot: Creed drives a full-force straight punch into Slik's left ribcage. Slik's body bends sharply at the impact, his face wrenched with pain, one knee buckling. He drops to the concrete floor on one hand.
Panel 5:From Slik's low perspective on the floor, the hallucinated Momma Noche stands just to his right — solid, composed, dressed as she was in life, one hand extended toward him, lips curled into a cold smile.
“Momma Noche: Don’t hold back son. Let the monster out.”
Panel 6:Creed stands over Slik, fist still extended, hesitating for one beat — his eyes drop to the downed man. In that fraction of a second, Slik's head snaps up and he launches himself forward, slamming a savage headbutt directly into Creed's face.
PAGE 12
Panel 1:Wide shot: Slik presses forward, driving Creed backward across the warehouse floor with a relentless barrage of strikes. Creed's guard is breaking — arms absorbing blow after blow.
Panel 2:Creed collapses to one knee on the concrete, arms braced on the floor, head down. His face is bloodied, one eye swelling shut. Before he can rise, Slik's boot swings in a brutal soccer-style arc into the side of Creed's skull.
Panel 3:Extreme close-up on Creed's eye — half-open, the iris unfocused, the warehouse ceiling blurring above him. His cheek presses against the cold concrete.
Panel 4:Medium shot of Slik standing over the downed Creed, looking across the warehouse floor to where his Samurai blade lies. The hallucinated Momma Noche stands just behind Slik's shoulder, mouth open, issuing a command.
“Momma Noche: Finish him.”
Panel 5:Full-length shot of Slik walking toward his Samurai blade on the floor, reaching down and closing his hand around the hilt. He straightens, blade in hand, and turns back toward Creed's body.
PAGE 13
Panel 1:Wide shot of the warehouse entrance. Aline Fonseca stands in the broken doorway, pistol raised in a two-hand grip, feet planted, eyes locked on Slik. Her jacket is torn and her lip is split from the earlier fight inside Club Noche.
“Aline Fonseca: Freeze!”
Panel 2:Slik's arm whips forward — the Samurai blade spins through the air toward Aline. She fires but the blade forces her aim wide — the shot sparks off a steel beam to the left. The blade clatters to the floor near her feet.
Panel 3:Slik charges across the warehouse floor and drives a single brutal punch into Aline's jaw. She drops hard. He follows with a kick that sends her pistol skidding across the concrete.
Panel 4:Medium shot: Slik stands in the center of the warehouse, Aline crumpled to his left, Creed barely conscious on the floor to his right. Slik's lips move — he gestures with one hand, arguing with something only he can see. His face is twisted with agitation.
“Slik: No, Ma… we don't have to do it that way. We just finish Creed. That's the end.”
Panel 5:Low angle close-up on Creed's face, pressed against the concrete. His eye is cracked open, focused on Slik's boots. His lips press together — realization crossing his battered face.
Narrator:“He wasn't talking to himself. He was arguing with her again.”
Panel 6:Medium shot of Creed pushing himself up off the concrete floor — one hand flat on the ground, one knee rising, teeth gritted, face streaked with blood. His eyes are fixed on Slik's back.
“Creed Rivers: She's right, Slik. You are weak.”
PAGE 14
Panel 1:Medium shot of Slik's head snapping around toward Creed, eyes wide and burning. His jaw is clenched, fists at his sides.
Panel 2:Over-shoulder shot from behind Slik, looking at Creed who stands unsteadily, blood on his face, voice cold and deliberate.
“Creed Rivers: She told the Chief you're a disappointment. Said she'd never have put you in charge.”
Panel 3:Close-up on Slik's face — eyes wide, a vein visible at his temple, lips pulling back. His hands shake at his sides.
“Creed Rivers: She said she wishes you died instead of Joker. Slik: NO!”
Panel 4:Medium shot of Creed, one arm extended slightly, pointing past Slik's shoulder toward the darkness behind him. His expression is stone cold.
“Creed Rivers: Then why is she laughing… Right behind you?”
Panel 5:Full-page POV shot from Slik's perspective: the hallucinated Momma Noche stands in the shadows of the warehouse behind where he was standing — solid, tall, dressed in her full regalia. Her arms are folded. Her mouth is open in a wide, cold, mocking smile. Her eyes are fixed on Slik.
“Momma Noche: It's true, Slik. I do wish you died instead of Joker. You will never lead Club Noche.”
PAGE 15
Panel 1:Wide action shot: Slik has snatched the Samurai blade from the floor and drives it forward with both hands into the hallucinated Momma Noche's chest. The hallucination's figure collapses — dissolving into nothing as the blade passes through empty air and clatters against the warehouse wall. Slik is on his knees, arms extended, holding the hilt of the blade driven into nothing.
Panel 2:Close-up on Slik's face from the front — tears cut down through the blood and grime on his cheeks. His mouth is open, voice barely above a whisper, arms cradling empty air.
“Slik: I'm sorry, Ma. You made me do it again.”
Panel 3:Wide shot of the warehouse interior from Creed's perspective. Slik kneels alone on the concrete floor, arms wrapped around empty air. His head slowly rises — his tear-streaked face twisting from grief into rage as his eyes fix on Creed across the room.
“Slik: You did this, Creed. None of this would have happened without you!”
Panel 4:Medium shot of Creed standing upright, his magnum blaster revolver raised and aimed directly at Slik's chest. His arm is steady. His face is battered and expressionless. Slik is visible in the background, rising to his feet, screaming, charging forward with both fists raised.
Panel 5:Wide shot of the warehouse floor. Slik lies dead on the concrete, face-down, motionless. Creed stands over him, revolver lowered at his side, not moving. The warehouse is still. Moonlight falls across both figures.
Narrator:“On that final night of the Noche gang… I didn't see victory.”
Panel 6:Medium shot of Creed from the front, standing over Slik's body, staring down. His expression is hollow — not triumphant, not relieved. His gun hand hangs at his side. For one beat, he simply looks.
Narrator:“I saw a man broken by his family. A man who'd kill for his brother. A man this city swallowed whole.”
Panel 7:Wide establishing exterior shot just outside the warehouse. The pre-dawn sky is a dark blue-grey, the first faint orange line of sunrise just visible on the far horizon above the industrial rooftops. Creed sits on a concrete step at the warehouse entrance, forearms on his knees, head bowed. Aline Fonseca sits beside him, shoulder touching his, looking at the horizon. The city is completely still.
Narrator:“And that feeling… was all too relatable.”
Panel 8:Close-up on Aline's hand closing gently around Creed's forearm as they sit together on the step. In the far background, through the pre-dawn haze, the distant flicker of police cruiser lights approaches along the road.
Panel 9:Final wide noir shot. Creed and Aline are silhouetted side by side against the pale dawn sky — two dark figures on a concrete step, the old warehouse wall behind them, the faint neon glow of Club Noche's distant sign fading in the background. The sun rises slowly over Vena City. Police cruisers have stopped behind them. Officer Vargas and Officer Matt Steel are visible stepping out of a cruiser in the mid-ground. The city breathes.
