Nehemiah has a full responsibility to rebuild the City Wall

Nehemiah, a man of integrity and intelligence, learns of Jerusalem's ruined walls and feels a profound responsibility to restore them. He secures permission from King Artaxerxes and travels to Jerusalem. Upon arrival, he secretly inspects the damage and then rallies the dispirited people, inspiring them to begin the monumental task of rebuilding. However, his efforts are met with immediate scorn and opposition from Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arab, who spread rumors and threats. The Ashdodites also emerge as a hostile force. Despite the constant ridicule, sabotage attempts, and the weariness of the workers, Nehemiah instills courage and implements defensive measures, ensuring that the work continues with unwavering resolve against all adversaries.

Narrator:The King, seeing the earnestness in Nehemiah’s eyes, granted his request, providing letters and protection.

Panel 3:Nehemiah rides on horseback, leading a small convoy through a barren, rocky landscape. He looks ahead with a focused gaze.

Narrator:With the King's favor, Nehemiah began the long journey to Jerusalem.

Panel 4:Under the cover of night, Nehemiah, cloaked and mounted on a horse, rides silently along the crumbling, broken walls of Jerusalem. The devastation is clear.

Narrator:Three days after arriving, under the cloak of darkness, he rode out to survey the damage himself.

They mean us harm! What are we to do?

Narrator:Fear began to creep into the hearts of some workers.

Narrator:The constant threats and grueling labor began to take their toll.

Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes!

Panel 3:The Workers and Jerusalem Elder listen, their expressions slowly shifting from despair to renewed determination. Some nod, picking up their tools with fresh resolve.

Narrator:His words rekindled their spirit, reminding them of the sacred purpose of their mission.

Panel 4:Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem are now closer to the city, standing on a small hill, openly shouting insults towards the workers. Their faces are twisted in malice.

You are wasting your time! We will attack and put an end to this!

Narrator:Meanwhile, the adversaries escalated their verbal assaults.

Do not be afraid of them. Whenever you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there. Our God will fight for us!

Narrator:Nehemiah remained ever-present, supervising, encouraging, and preparing his people for any challenge.

Panel 3:From a distance, Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem watch the progressing wall. Their expressions are now a mix of anger and frustration, realizing their taunts and threats are failing.

Narrator:Their adversaries watched, their mockery turning to impotent rage as the wall slowly rose.

Panel 4:A grand, sweeping shot of a significant portion of the city wall, now much higher and stronger than before. Jerusalem Citizens (Workers) are still at work, but the sense of accomplishment is clear. Nehemiah stands proudly, looking at the rising wall.

Narrator:The wall of Jerusalem began to take shape, brick by brick, against all odds. The great mission continued.
