In a world where magic has faded, a young orphan discovers she is the last person capable of summoning the ancient spirit guardians. As dark forces rise to claim the remaining magical artifacts, Yuki must master her powers and unite unlikely allies to prevent the world from falling into eternal darkness.
Yuki's life in Kumo Village is upended when she accidentally summons Ember during the Spirit Festival. Agents of Lord Shadow arrive, seeking the source of the summoning magic. Master Kenzo guides Yuki and Ember as they flee the village to begin Yuki's training.
