Sci fi western

On the desolate planet Velora, the Wild Knights, led by the wasteland priest Titus, protect the Edenite mining settlement of Skull Valley. A desperate message arrives revealing a massive Edenite vein discovered near Kirkland in the Red Canyon, prompting a 'Green Gold Rush'. Titus, wary of exploitation, prepares to secure the vein for the benefit of Skull Valley. Simultaneously, the Crimson Coil, led by the enigmatic Nath, arrives, their intentions far more sinister: to corrupt the new Edenite vein with the deadly U-15, to use the destructive power to destroy the Wild Knights. As miners flock to Red Canyon, Titus and his loyal knight, Crad, race against time to secure the vein and protect Skull Valley from Nath's insidious plan. The issue culminates in a tense standoff between the Wild Knights and the Crimson Coil, setting the stage for a planet-wide conflict.

Max

protagonist

The Awakening of Max Max was never meant to be alone. He was built by the Mine Corporation — a towering industrial machine designed to cut through mountains and carve wealth from the depths of alien worlds. When the corporation collapsed, their machines were abandoned across Velora like rusting monuments to a forgotten industry. Max wandered the planet for years. His power cells never quite died, but his systems ran in a low dormant cycle. He moved without purpose, a silent giant walking the dusty roads and empty mining fields of Velora. Storms struck his metal frame. Sand buried his footprints. The world slowly forgot he existed. Until the day he met Mox. Mox was a small, curious creature native to Velora — clever, fearless, and always carrying a bottle of bright glowing Trible drink, a fizzy fermented brew made by her people. When Max stumbled into the alley where she was sitting, she jumped in surprise. The bottle slipped from her hand. The glowing drink splashed across Max’s chest plate. For a moment, nothing happened. Then the liquid seeped into a tiny crack in his armor and reached the circuitry of his mainframe. Lightning sparked through his body. His systems surged. Steam burst from his joints as dormant processors roared back to life. Amber light filled his eyes as he stood upright for the first time in years. SYSTEM REBOOT His core program searched for direction. Protocol required a command. Max scanned his surroundings. Mox, startled but curious, picked up a scrap poster that had blown down the street. She held it up to him. The poster showed a bold emblem: WILD KNIGHTS And beneath it, simple words: PROTECT AND SERVE Max’s optics scanned the image. The text burned into his core logic. PROTOCOL ACCEPTED Primary directive established. Protect Mox. Serve others. From that moment on, the abandoned mining machine had a new purpose. On the dusty frontier of Velora, the giant robot once built to break mountains became something else entirely: A guardian. A wandering knight of steel.

Mox

protagonist

Mox — a tiny alien from the hidden Moxitoxitan tribe of Velora. Fragile, curious, and wide-eyed, with enormous glossy eyes that reflect the world like mirrors. Pale peach skin with soft wisps of white hair sticking up wildly, delicate bat-like ears, thin neck and small body that seems almost weightless. Her expressions are full of innocent wonder as she studies everything around her. Primitive but intelligent, just learning to speak human words from Max, often mimicking sounds and simple phrases. She clings to Max’s coat or shoulder for safety, trusting him completely. Extremely agile and nimble, able to slip through cracks, vents, and tight spaces like a tiny thief or scout. Raised in a secretive tribe forbidden from the outside world, she approaches everything with cautious curiosity. Scene set on Velora — dusty sci-fi western frontier town, rusted metal structures, alien desert light, Max nearby as her protector. Cinematic lighting, photorealistic, ultra-detailed skin texture, emotional eyes, small but unforgettable presence. Character vibe: Mox feels like the emotional heart of a scene — small, vulnerable, curious, but incredibly capable. Almost like Velora’s version of a scout, child, and philosopher all at once. Mox — Tribal Clothing of Velora Mox wears clothing made from the living landscape of Velora. Her garments are simple but rich with meaning, crafted by her tribe from woven alien grasses, soft hide, and fibers stripped from the bark of the tall wind-trees that grow along the canyon rivers. Her tunic is layered and asymmetrical, dyed in deep earth tones — rust red, desert ochre, and faded turquoise — colors that mirror the cliffs and skies of Velora. The fabric is rough but flexible, stitched together with sinew thread and decorated with small bone beads and polished stones gathered from sacred riverbeds. Around her shoulders hangs a short cloak made from the feather-like scales of desert gliders, shimmering faintly when the light hits them. It protects her from the cold nights and the sandstorms that sweep across the plains. A braided sash wraps around her waist, holding small pouches filled with tribal tools — flint shards, dried herbs, and tiny glass bottles of glowing Trible drink. Her wrists and ankles carry bands made from carved shell and copper scrap salvaged from old mining sites, each piece etched with simple tribal symbols that tell stories of her people — rivers, storms, and wandering spirits. Across her forehead rests a thin leather band with a single polished stone at the center, marking her as a traveler and storyteller among her tribe. The clothes are worn, patched, and sun-faded, but they carry the history of Velora itself — the mark of a people who survived long before the mining machines arrived.

Amphidrax

antagonist

Amphidrax — River Predator of Velora The Amphidrax is one of the most feared creatures living in the rivers and swamp forests of Velora. Half serpent, half amphibian nightmare, it is perfectly adapted to both water and land, making it an unstoppable ambush predator. Its body is long and muscular like a river serpent, covered in dark armored scales that glisten with swamp water and mud. A row of jagged dorsal spines runs down its back, helping it stabilize while swimming through powerful currents. Unlike most serpents, the Amphidrax has four elongated clawed limbs. These limbs allow it to crawl from the riverbanks and stalk prey silently through the jungle fog. Each claw is long and curved, capable of tearing through hide, bone, or even light metal. Its head is broad and reptilian, with a gaping mouth full of needle-like teeth designed to grip slippery prey. But the most terrifying feature is its glowing crimson eyes, which shine through the mist of Velora’s river valleys. Many travelers claim the eyes are visible long before the creature itself emerges from the water. Amphidrax prefer murky rivers where visibility is low. They wait beneath the surface, motionless, until something moves near the water's edge. Then they erupt from the depths with explosive speed. Most victims never see the attack coming. The creatures are large—often 20 to 30 feet long—and incredibly strong. Their tails can crush bone, and their claws can drag prey back into the water within seconds. Despite their brutality, the Amphidrax are ancient creatures of Velora, long predating the mining corporations and off-world settlers. To some tribes, they are considered river spirits—guardians of dangerous waters. It has 2 tails it uses to swim.
