ACTION JACKSON

Action Jackson The Assassination Of Lincoln

Action Jackson's resurrection and supernatural attacks threaten New York while Detective Yuki Tanaka fights to stop him.

A cursed Lincoln amulet surfaces in a New York museum, resonating with voodoo dark magic that beckons the scattered bone-and-shadow fragments of Action Jackson to reform. Yuki Tanaka, the supernatural detective, discovers the curse embedded in the amulet is actively feeding his resurrection. She races to understand the Civil War-era voodoo practitioners who created the curse, uncover who deliberately placed the amulet in the collection, and stop Action Jackson's reformation before he reaches full strength at the Lincoln Memorial—where the historical and spiritual resonance is strongest. The story follows Yuki's supernatural investigation through the museum, into historical records and spiritually significant locations, as she works to destroy the amulet and halt his resurrection. End with the amulet destroyed and Action Jackson's threat contained, though leaving hints that fragments of his power may linger elsewhere.

Panel 1:Full-page splash. Exterior night view of the New York Museum of American History — a massive neoclassical stone facade with columned entrance, lit by cold security floodlights. Through the tall arched windows, a single display case on the ground floor radiates a deep violet glow that stains the glass purple. The glow pulses like a slow heartbeat. In the foreground, the stone pavement of the front plaza shows hairline cracks; from each crack, tiny black bone fragments — finger-sized splinters of stained aged bone — tremble and inch toward the museum's foundation. In the gutter along the curb, more fragments gather. The city beyond is dark and still. At the top of the image, bold title lettering reads: ACTION JACKSON — THE ASSASSINATION OF LINCOLN.

Narrator:New York. 1:47 a.m.

PAGE 2

Panel 1:Interior of Yuki's hidden investigation room — a cramped, windowless space with walls covered in pinned case maps, supernatural frequency charts covered in hand-drawn waveforms, and photographs from the New York Massacre aftermath. A cork board holds dozens of notes connected by red string. Yuki sits at a battered wooden desk under a single overhead lamp, her charcoal field coat draped over the chair back. Her divination necklace — carved bone beads and small crystal charms on a dark cord — lies coiled beside an open notebook filled with dense handwritten annotations. She is leaning forward, pen in hand, mid-note.

Panel 2:Close-up on the divination necklace lying on the desk. Every crystal charm on it has begun vibrating — the beads clatter against the wood surface, the charms swinging and clicking against each other with sudden violent energy.

Panel 3:Yuki's face in extreme close-up. Her dark eyes have rolled back completely — both irises gone, replaced by flat, solid white. Her jaw is slightly open, lips parted. Veins stand out faintly at her temples. She is rigid, gripping the edge of the desk with both hands, knuckles pale.

Panel 4:Yuki's trance vision — rendered as a dark, desaturated bird's-eye view of New York's underground: subway tunnels, storm drains, and pavement cracks all shown as transparent cross-sections. From dozens of scattered points across the map, tiny black bone fragments crawl and slide through the pipes and grates, all converging in glowing lines toward a single bright violet point at the center — the museum. The vision has the quality of a spirit-map, lines of dark energy flowing like rivers.

Narrator:She sees them. Dozens of pieces. Moving.

Panel 5:Back to the investigation room. Yuki snaps out of the trance — she is on her feet now, chair knocked back behind her. Her eyes are normal again, wide and sharp. She has already grabbed her divination necklace and is looping it over her head with one hand. Her other hand is stabbing a finger at a supernatural frequency instrument on the desk — a modified compass with multiple needles, all pointing northwest.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: The museum. He's already calling himself back together.

Panel 6:Wide shot of the investigation room doorway. Yuki is already in her charcoal field coat, collar up, badge-shaped occult insignia visible at the collar. She is moving through the door at speed, one hand bracing the frame as she turns into the hallway beyond. The desk behind her is in disarray — notebook still open, necklace gone from the desk.

PAGE 3

Panel 1:Exterior of the museum's service entrance — a recessed metal door on a side alley, lit by a single yellow bulb above it. Yuki stands at the door, holding up a leather credential wallet to a keypad reader mounted on the wall. The reader's indicator light flickers from red to green. The alley around her is empty.

Panel 2:Interior museum security booth — a small glass-walled station just inside the service entrance. Carl, a heavyset man in his sixties with a grey mustache and a security uniform, is slumped sideways in his chair, chin on his chest, arms loose at his sides. His coffee mug sits upright on the desk, still steaming. His eyes are closed. Yuki crouches beside him, two fingers pressed to the side of his neck, checking his pulse.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: Breathing. Pulse steady. Not natural sleep.

Panel 3:A long dark museum corridor stretching ahead of Yuki. Emergency lighting strips along the floor cast a dim red-orange glow at ankle height. Display cases line both walls, their contents in darkness. Yuki walks the center of the corridor, coat open, one hand raised with fingers slightly spread — the crystal charms on her necklace sway and clink softly as she moves, drawn forward. At the far end of the corridor, a faint violet light seeps under a set of double doors.

Narrator:Every case she passes. Every artifact. The necklace reacts to all of it — but one thing pulls harder than the rest.

Panel 4:Close-up on the double doors at the corridor's end. The gap beneath them glows deep violet — a steady, breathing pulse of light that brightens and dims in a slow rhythm. Yuki's hand, fingers splayed, presses flat against the door's surface. The wood grain around her palm is faintly warm, the violet light seeping through the wood's grain.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: It's radiating through the door. Whatever's in there is alive with it.

Panel 5:Yuki pushes through the double doors, both hands pressing them open, stepping into the violet-lit space beyond. Her silhouette is framed in the doorway — coat, necklace, alert posture — as the deep purple glow washes over her from ahead.

PAGE 4

Panel 1:Wide establishing shot of the Civil War exhibition hall. The room is large and high-ceilinged, display cases arranged in a ring around a central pedestal case. Civil War artifacts fill the surrounding cases — framed letters, sepia photographs, a tattered grey uniform behind glass. At the center, the pedestal case holds the Lincoln amulet: a tarnished bronze medallion the size of a fist, stamped with Lincoln's profile, its rim carved with dense voodoo symbols. The amulet pulses with deep violet light that casts long shadows across the floor. Around the base of the pedestal case, hairline cracks run outward across the stone tiles, and from each crack thin tendrils of black shadow seep upward like slow smoke. Yuki stands just inside the doorway, taking in the scene.

Panel 2:Medium shot of Yuki approaching the pedestal case, moving cautiously, hands raised slightly at her sides. Her necklace charms are swinging and clicking rapidly now, pulled toward the case. Her eyes are beginning to change — the irises lightening, the whites brightening.

Panel 3:Yuki's eyes have gone fully white. In spirit-sight, the exhibition hall is transformed: the amulet blazes at the center like a dark sun, ringed by slowly rotating voodoo glyphs — intricate layered symbols spinning in concentric rings, each ring a different scale and rhythm, forming a complex dark architecture. Bone fragments are visible embedded throughout the walls, floor, and ceiling — dozens of small stained-bone pieces, each one trembling and inching a fraction toward the case. Thin lines of violet energy connect them all to the amulet like threads on a web.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: He's using it as a beacon. Every piece of him is answering the call.

Panel 4:Close-up on the Lincoln amulet inside the pedestal case. The tarnished bronze surface is covered in carved symbols — Lincoln's profile on the face, the rim dense with intertwined voodoo glyphs. The violet glow pulses from within the bronze itself, as if a heartbeat lives inside the metal. Hairline cracks in the floor are visible at the base of the case.

PAGE 5

Panel 1:Yuki circles the pedestal case slowly, notebook open in one hand, pen moving rapidly. Her eyes are still white with spirit-sight. She sketches the voodoo glyphs she sees in the spirit-layer — her pen strokes are fast and precise, filling the page with symbol after symbol.

Panel 2:Insert close-up on the notebook page. A specific glyph is circled and annotated — a complex layered symbol unlike the others, larger and more densely carved. Yuki's handwriting beside it reads: 'Resurrection seal — Louisiana mid-1860s — Bone Congregation?? Never seen at this scale.'

Detective Yuki Tanaka: Louisiana school. Mid-1860s. I know this tradition. But this resurrection seal — I've never seen one this large.

Panel 3:The amulet reacts. The violet pulse quickens — three rapid beats in succession. From deep within the display case, a low resonant groan fills the hall, felt as much as heard. The floor cracks extend another half-inch. Embedded in the far wall, a cluster of bone fragments crack forward visibly — a knuckle bone, two rib splinters — pressing out of the plaster.

Panel 4:Yuki steps back sharply from the case, snapping her notebook shut. Her eyes return to normal — dark brown, wide, calculating. She holds the closed notebook against her chest, jaw set. She is looking at the amulet but not reaching for it.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: I can't destroy it. Not without understanding the full architecture. Wrong move here accelerates everything.

Panel 5:Yuki turns away from the case and moves toward a door marked ARCHIVE — STAFF ONLY on the far wall of the exhibition hall. She walks fast, coat swinging. Behind her, the amulet's violet glow pulses once — deep and slow — like a sleeping thing settling back.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: I need the origin records. Start there.

PAGE 6

Panel 1:The museum research archive — a basement room with low ceilings, fluorescent lights, and walls lined floor-to-ceiling with grey document boxes labeled by year and collection. Microfiche cabinets run down the center. Yuki moves through the rows fast, pulling boxes from shelves and setting them on a long central table, already scanning labels.

Panel 2:Close-up on Yuki's hands moving through a folder of documents. Her fingers flip through pages quickly — acquisition records, handwritten correspondence, yellowed photographs. She pulls two sheets out simultaneously and holds them side by side, comparing dates.

Panel 3:Medium shot of Yuki at the table, holding a single document — a museum acquisition form. Her eyes scan it rapidly. At the bottom of the form, a small photograph is paper-clipped: the Lincoln amulet as it arrived, photographed on a white intake surface. Even in the photograph, a faint luminous quality is visible around the amulet's rim.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: Donated six weeks ago. Aldous Verne. Listed as a 'historical curiosity.' The amulet was already glowing in the intake photograph.

Panel 4:Yuki photographs the acquisition form with her phone, the camera flash briefly lighting the archive in stark white. In her other hand she holds a second document — a thin 19th-century pamphlet, its cover page showing a woodcut illustration of a circle of robed figures around a central flame. The pamphlet's title is visible: THE BONE CONGREGATION — RITES OF THE SHADOW SERVANT.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: The Bone Congregation. They built the amulet as a resurrection vessel. A shadow servant they planned to unleash at the war's end.

Panel 5:Close-up on Yuki's face, reading. Her expression has shifted — the methodical calm replaced by something harder and more urgent. Her eyes are narrow, lips pressed together. One hand grips the pamphlet tightly.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: They never completed the plan. Someone just finished it for them.

Panel 6:Wide shot of the archive room. Yuki is already moving toward the stairs, documents tucked under her arm, phone in hand. Above her, through the ceiling, a loud crash resonates — the sound of something heavy shattering on the floor above. Dust falls from the ceiling tiles.

Narrator:Then the floor above her shook.

PAGE 7

Panel 1:Yuki bursts through the exhibition hall doors at a run, both hands hitting them simultaneously. The hall beyond is changed: the pedestal display case is shattered — the glass dome smashed outward, the bronze mount empty. Shards of glass catch the violet light still lingering in the room. The amulet is gone.

Panel 2:At the far end of the exhibition hall, something is assembling itself from the floor. A loose cluster of black bone fragments — stained aged bone, finger bones, rib splinters, jaw fragments — rises from the cracked tiles. Shadow-tendrils thread between the pieces, pulling them into rough alignment. The shape is not yet complete: gaps in the rib cage, one arm a trailing cluster of unattached fragments held in shadow. Two deep-violet points burn inside an incomplete skull. Cursed black smoke pours from the dropped jaw. The shape is tall — already over six feet and growing.

Panel 3:Yuki faces the half-formed shape across the hall. Silver spirit-light gathers at her fingertips — both hands raised, palms forward, the light building between her fingers. Her expression is hard and still. Her necklace charms are spinning. She holds her ground.

Panel 4:The half-formed Action Jackson takes one lurching step toward Yuki — a heavy, grinding movement, bone scraping tile. Then he stops. His incomplete skull tilts to one side. The violet points in his eye sockets shift — not toward Yuki, but toward the exterior wall. Something is calling him away. He turns his back on her.

Panel 5:Action Jackson crashes through the exterior wall of the museum. A massive impact — stone and plaster exploding outward, the wall collapsing in a cascade of debris. Through the ragged hole, the dark Manhattan street is visible beyond. Action Jackson's shadow-wrapped form moves through the gap and into the night, the amulet clutched in his incomplete hand, glowing violet. Dust and stone chunks rain down inside the hall.

PAGE 8

Panel 1:Yuki stands at the ragged breach in the museum wall, one hand braced on the broken stone edge. She looks out at the Manhattan street beyond — empty, dark, a trail of cracked pavement and scattered black bone dust leading northwest up the avenue. Her necklace charms are all pointing in the same direction: northwest. She reads them.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: Northwest. He's moving with purpose.

Panel 2:Close-up on Yuki's phone screen. She has pulled up a city map with a hand-drawn overlay of spiritually resonant locations — red circles marking significant sites across Manhattan. One circle, labeled LINCOLN PRESERVATION HALL — 19TH C. CIVIC, DOCUMENTED RESONANCE, sits in upper Manhattan along the northwest trajectory of Action Jackson's trail. A dotted line connects the museum to the hall.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: Lincoln Preservation Hall. Upper Manhattan. Historical resonance — enough to feed what he's still missing.

Panel 3:Yuki pulls a folded gear kit from inside her coat — a flat inner pocket reveals a bundle of folded protective sigil papers, a coil of silver spirit-thread wound tight, and confirms the divination necklace already around her neck. She pockets the thread coil and sigils with practiced efficiency.

Panel 4:Wide shot from outside the museum. Yuki drops from the breach in the wall to the street below — a controlled drop of eight feet, landing in a crouch on the pavement. Around her feet, the black bone dust trail is clearly visible, leading up the dark avenue. She straightens and begins to move, following the trail at a run.

Narrator:She sent one location ping to her contact network. Then she ran.

PAGE 9

Panel 1:TWO-PAGE SPREAD — LEFT HALF. Street-level wide shot of a broad upper Manhattan avenue at 2 a.m. The street is empty of pedestrians. Action Jackson's half-formed body moves down the center of the avenue — a towering lurching skeleton wrapped in living shadows, nearly seven feet tall but still incomplete: gaps in the rib cage where bone fragments have not yet joined, one arm trailing loose fragments held together only by writhing shadow-tendrils. Cursed black smoke pours from his open jaw in a continuous stream. His incomplete skull blazes with violet eye-socket points. In his incomplete hand, the Lincoln amulet glows deep violet, pulsing in rhythm with his movement. To the right side of the frame, a yellow cab has swerved and crashed into a fire hydrant — water spraying upward in a column, the driver's door hanging open, the driver running away from the vehicle. The buildings on both sides of the avenue are dark and closed. Action Jackson does not look at the cab. He walks northwest.

PAGE 10

Panel 1:TWO-PAGE SPREAD — RIGHT HALF. Rooftop level view of the same avenue, looking down. Yuki runs across the rooftop of a five-story building, coat streaming behind her, moving parallel to Action Jackson below. Her eyes are completely white — spirit-sight active, reading the trail of dark energy Action Jackson leaves in the air: a visible wound of violet-black distortion that hangs above the street like a scar. She is ahead of him by half a block, having taken rooftop shortcuts. An inset panel in the lower-right corner of this half: extreme close-up of Yuki's white-eyed face, jaw set, expression locked and calculating, no fear — just absolute focus. She is looking down. He is below. He has not looked up.

Narrator:He left a wound in the air behind him. She read every step.

PAGE 11

Panel 1:Wide exterior shot of Lincoln Preservation Hall — a grand but weathered 19th-century civic building, stone facade carved with patriotic eagles and laurel reliefs, iron lanterns dark and cold. The street in front is empty. A side window on the ground floor is pushed open from outside; Yuki swings one leg through it, coat bunched, moving fast and quiet.

Panel 2:Interior of the hall — a high vaulted civic space with stone columns, wooden pews arranged in rows, and a central dais. Emergency wall sconces cast a weak amber glow. Yuki stands just inside, one hand raised. Every charm on her divination necklace spins outward from her chest, pulled in different directions by the room's accumulated resonance. Her eyes go slightly wide — the spiritual weight of the place is immediate and strong.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: Decades of resonance. This place is soaked in it.

Panel 3:Close-up on Yuki's hands pressing a folded protective sigil paper flat against the stone of the first interior wall. The paper crinkles under her palm, its hand-drawn symbols pressing into the stone. A faint silver glow traces the sigil's edges as it adheres.

Panel 4:Medium shot of Yuki mid-stride across the hall, a second sigil already placed behind her on the far wall, now pressing a third to the stone of a column. She is halfway through her perimeter. Her expression is tight with urgency — she is counting seconds. Through the hall's tall front windows, the street outside is still dark and empty.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: One more. Come on.

Panel 5:The hall's heavy front doors detonate inward — both panels torn from their hinges simultaneously, stone dust and iron splinters spraying across the entry. Filling the doorway is Action Jackson: taller now than at the museum, his rib cage nearly complete with new bone fragments added during the walk, shadow-tendrils thick and pulsing. The Lincoln amulet blazes violet in his incomplete hand. Violet energy visibly flows from the amulet into his skeleton in slow, luminous threads. His skull tilts up and the violet eye-socket points find Yuki across the length of the hall.

PAGE 12

Panel 1:Action Jackson advances down the center aisle between the pews, each footfall cracking the stone tiles. Yuki runs laterally behind a row of stone columns, using them for cover. From her right hand she flings a coil of silver spirit-thread — it arcs through the air like a thrown rope.

Panel 2:Close-up on Action Jackson's forearm. The silver spirit-thread wraps around the bone in two tight loops, burning white where it contacts the shadow-flesh — the shadow-tendons recoil from the contact, scorched pale. His bony fingers seize the thread and tear it free with a violent wrench.

Panel 3:Action Jackson recoils one step — the violet in his eye sockets flares brighter, the jaw dropping wider, black smoke pouring out in a thick burst. His free hand claws at the air where the thread burned him. Yuki uses the instant: she slaps the fourth sigil paper flat against the last wall with an open palm.

Panel 4:Wide shot of the hall. A faint silver boundary materializes across all four walls simultaneously — a geometric perimeter of light connecting the four sigil points. Action Jackson steps toward the nearest wall and the shadow-tendrils on his arm fringe recoil from the silver boundary, snapping back. He stops. He is contained inside the hall but not incapacitated.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: Ward's up. You're not leaving until this is done.

Panel 5:Action Jackson turns from the wall and hurls a wave of living shadow from his free hand — a dense, churning mass of darkness that moves like a breaking wave across the pews. Yuki dives behind a stone column. The shadow-mass strikes the column and tears a half-foot chunk of stone out of it, the fragment spinning across the floor.

Panel 6:Yuki pressed flat behind the damaged column, back to stone, breathing hard. She tilts her head just enough to see past the column's edge. In spirit-sight — her eyes going white — she watches the Lincoln amulet in Action Jackson's grip: violet energy flows from it into his bones in visible pulsing threads, the reconstruction actively accelerating. Her jaw tightens.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: The amulet is feeding him. Every second I don't touch it, he gets stronger.

PAGE 13

Panel 1:Yuki steps out from behind the column, both hands raised, fingers pointed. A narrow, concentrated beam of silver spirit-light fires from her fingertips — thin as a thread but intensely bright — aimed directly at the Lincoln amulet in Action Jackson's grip.

Panel 2:The amulet flares — a violent burst of violet-white light where the silver beam strikes it. Action Jackson's entire skeleton shudders, the reconstruction stuttering: a rib fragment that was nearly locked into place drops away, clattering to the floor. His jaw snaps wide, black smoke erupting in a startled burst.

Panel 3:Action Jackson looks down at the amulet in his hand, then up at Yuki. He closes his fist around the amulet — tight, both bony fingers curling over it completely, pressing it against his rib cage. He is shielding it deliberately. The violet glow seeps between his fingers but is no longer fully exposed.

Panel 4:Yuki pushes the silver spirit-light harder — the beam widens slightly, pressing toward his closed fist. Action Jackson swings his free arm in a wide arc. The blow does not connect directly — it catches the side of her coat and spins her off her feet. She skids across the stone floor on her side, slides into a wooden pew, and the pew cracks under the impact.

Panel 5:Yuki on one knee beside the cracked pew, one hand on the floor, catching herself. Her coat is torn at the shoulder. She is winded — ribs working hard — but her eyes are already back up, calculating. Her gaze travels across the hall to the carved stone Lincoln relief mounted above the entrance: a bas-relief portrait of Lincoln's profile, five feet wide, set into the stone wall above the ruined doorway.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: Historical resonance amplifies spirit-light. That relief. Lincoln himself. It's a lens.

PAGE 14

Panel 1:Wide shot of the hall. Yuki sprints across the open center aisle — exposed, no cover, running directly toward the central dais. Action Jackson's skull tracks her immediately. He lunges forward, one enormous shadow-wrapped arm reaching, the motion fast and fluid despite his incomplete form.

Panel 2:Yuki drops into a slide — knees bent, coat fanning behind her — passing under Action Jackson's grasping arm by inches. His fingers rake the air above her head. She slides onto the central dais, feet first.

Panel 3:Yuki on both knees on the dais, both palms pressed flat against a large bronze commemorative plaque mounted at its center — the plaque reads LINCOLN'S PROCLAMATION — JANUARY 1, 1863 in raised letters. Silver spirit-light pours from her hands into the bronze surface. The plaque begins to glow — not violet, but a warm, purified silver-gold, brighter than anything Yuki has produced alone.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: One hundred and sixty years of history. Give it to me.

Panel 4:A burst of purified silver-gold spirit-energy radiates outward from the plaque in a perfect ring across the hall floor. Action Jackson is caught in it — the living shadows on his body writhe and contract violently, pulling inward, the shadow-tendrils recoiling from the purified energy. His fist loosens involuntarily. The Lincoln amulet drops from his fingers.

Panel 5:Close-up on the Lincoln amulet tumbling through the air and striking the stone floor — the tarnished bronze face of Lincoln catching the silver-gold light as it bounces once and rolls toward the far wall, spinning on its edge.

Panel 6:Wide shot — both Yuki and Action Jackson lunge simultaneously for the rolling amulet from opposite sides of the hall. Yuki is low and fast, coat streaming. Action Jackson is enormous and fluid, shadow-tendrils reaching ahead of his body like outstretched fingers.

PAGE 15

Panel 1:Action Jackson's skeletal hand closes around the amulet a half-second before Yuki reaches it — his long fingers wrapping over the bronze medallion, the violet glow blazing between his bones. He straightens to full height, pulling the amulet up and away from her.

Panel 2:Yuki is already casting — a loop of silver spirit-thread flies from her left hand and cinches tight around Action Jackson's wrist, the thread biting into the bone and shadow-flesh, burning white at the contact points. She grabs the thread's end with both hands and drops her full body weight onto it, pulling his arm down and outward, forcing the amulet-holding fist to remain extended and exposed.

Panel 3:Action Jackson roars — his jaw drops to its widest extent, a sound like a crack of bone echoing through the vault, black smoke blasting from the open jaw in a thick column. He lifts his arm. Yuki swings upward, dangling from the thread around his wrist, feet off the floor.

Panel 4:Yuki dangling in the air, one hand gripping the thread at his wrist, reaches into her coat with her free hand. She pulls out the museum provenance photograph — a creased photo of the Lincoln amulet on a white intake surface. On its back, dense handwritten dissolution glyphs fill every centimeter of white space. She presses the photograph flat against the amulet in his fist, forcing it into contact with the bronze surface.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: Counter-symbol. Right at the source.

Panel 5:The amulet screams — a high, tearing supernatural shriek that sends hairline cracks racing across the hall's stone ceiling. The violet glow stutters violently, flickering like a dying bulb. Action Jackson's arm jerks back and he hurls Yuki away with a full-body swing.

Panel 6:Yuki hits the silver ward perimeter at the far wall — the sigil boundary flares bright white on impact, cushioning her against the stone. She slides down the wall to the floor, coat bunched, landing in a controlled heap. The thread is still wrapped around her wrist, trailing back across the hall. She is winded but conscious and already looking up.

PAGE 16

Panel 1:Yuki on the floor, back against the wall, looking up. Action Jackson looms over her — nearly at full height now, seven feet of aged bone and churning living shadow, the rib cage sealed, skull grinning wide. The violet eyes blaze at full intensity. He raises one shadow-trailing hand, preparing to bring it down.

Panel 2:Yuki's white eyes — spirit-sight fully active — stare up at the amulet clutched to Action Jackson's chest. In the spirit-layer, the dissolution glyph from the photograph is visible inside the amulet's bronze surface: a spreading counter-symbol eating inward through the resurrection seal like frost across glass, the cracks already deep. The amulet's surface shows a visible hairline fracture.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: You already lost. You just don't know it yet.

Panel 3:Action Jackson's fist crashes down — a full-force blow aimed at Yuki. She rolls hard to the right. His fist strikes the stone floor where she was: the impact craters the stone, a six-inch depression of shattered tile and dust.

Panel 4:Yuki on her feet, already running. She sprints straight for the ruined front entrance — the doorway Action Jackson destroyed on arrival, now a jagged open gap of broken stone and hanging iron. Beyond it, the pre-dawn street is dark blue.

PAGE 17

Panel 1:Yuki bursts through the ruined doorway and into the pre-dawn street, coat streaming, moving at a full sprint down the empty block. Behind her, Action Jackson crashes through what remains of the hall's stone front facade — a section of carved patriotic relief collapses outward as he forces his way through, stone chunks and dust raining into the street.

Panel 2:Action Jackson moves through the street in his unnaturally fluid predatory gait — long, shadow-trailing strides closing ground fast. But the Lincoln amulet clutched to his chest is visibly deteriorating: hairline cracks spider-web across the bronze surface, and the violet glow stutters in broken pulses. A finger bone drops from his right hand and clatters to the pavement behind him.

Panel 3:Action Jackson reaches for Yuki — his arm extending, shadow-tendrils stretching ahead of the bone. His hand passes partially through her coat's trailing hem: the shadow-tendons dissolve at the point of contact, unable to grip. He has no purchase. His arm retracts, the shadow-tendons fraying at the fingertips.

Panel 4:Action Jackson stops in the center of the street. He raises the cracking amulet to eye level with both hands, staring at it. A rib bone drops from his side and hits the asphalt. The violet glow in the amulet stutters — on, off, on — the cracks spreading visibly as he watches. The violet eye-socket points blaze with furious intensity.

Panel 5:Twenty feet away, Yuki stops and turns to face him. She is breathing hard, hands on her knees for one second, then she straightens. Her divination necklace blazes — every crystal charm lit from within with growing silver light. She raises both hands, palms forward, and the light between them begins to build into a concentrated sphere.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: End of the line.

PAGE 18

Panel 1:FULL-PAGE SPLASH. The empty pre-dawn street stretches between two rows of dark buildings. Yuki stands at the near end — both arms raised and extended, the divination necklace blazing with silver light so intense every crystal charm is individually visible as a point of radiance. Her eyes are completely white. The silver spirit-thread still wrapped around her wrist glows, channeling the residual Lincoln Preservation Hall resonance into her. Between her outstretched palms, a sphere of concentrated silver spirit-light has formed — the size of a basketball, dense and blinding, the air around it warping with suppressed energy. At the far end of the street, Action Jackson stands half-collapsed: bones scattered around his feet, shadow-flesh dissolving in slow ribbons, the cracked amulet held in a hand that is more smoke than bone. His rib cage has gaps again. His jaw hangs wide, black smoke pouring out. The violet eye-socket points burn at full intensity. He is still standing. Still grinning. The sphere leaves Yuki's hands — a blinding streak of silver crossing the distance in one instant, aimed directly at the cracking amulet.

PAGE 19

Panel 1:Wide shot of the street at the moment of detonation. A perfect circle of silver-and-violet light tears outward from the point where the sphere struck the amulet — a shockwave ring expanding at street level. Every window on the block shatters simultaneously, glass spraying outward in glittering cascades. The shockwave ring rolls outward, lifting a thin layer of street dust.

Panel 2:Action Jackson's half-rebuilt body comes apart in the blast. Bones fly outward in every direction — ribs, finger bones, vertebrae spinning into the air. The living shadow-flesh burns away in silver fire, the shadow-tendrils snapping and dissolving into wisps. The violet points in his eye sockets flare to their absolute brightest — two intense violet stars — then go dark. Completely dark. The bones clatter to the pavement and lie still.

Panel 3:Close-up on the asphalt where the amulet was. Nothing remains of it — not shattered bronze, not even a shard. Only a smear of dark tarnished dust on the pavement, the faint outline of Lincoln's profile still barely visible in the residue before the pre-dawn breeze begins to scatter it.

Panel 4:Yuki stands at the center of the aftermath — coat torn at the shoulder, hair loose and wild, hands still faintly glowing silver at the fingertips. Around her, scattered across the block, dark bone fragments lie motionless on the pavement. Broken glass glitters in every direction. She turns slowly in place, head moving, white eyes scanning the full street in spirit-sight.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: Frequency's silent. Resurrection energy — gone.

Panel 5:Yuki's eyes return to normal — dark brown, tired, sharp. She exhales — a long, visible breath of cold air in the pre-dawn chill. Her hands drop to her sides. She looks at the scattered bone fragments around her feet, then out at the waking city beyond.

Panel 1:Wide establishing shot. The front steps of Lincoln Preservation Hall in early dawn light — orange-gold touching the upper floors of the surrounding buildings while the street below is still in blue shadow. The hall's facade is damaged: the front entrance destroyed, stone dust on the steps, a section of carved relief collapsed. Bone fragments and broken glass litter the street. Yuki sits on the middle step, coat pulled closed, notebook open on her knee, pen moving.

Narrator:Dawn.

Panel 2:Medium close-up on Yuki's notebook page. Her handwriting fills the lines in dense, precise columns. Visible headings read: BONE CONGREGATION — CIVIL WAR ERA, ALDOUS VERNE — COLLECTOR, DISSOLUTION GLYPH — COUNTER TO RESURRECTION SEAL. The pen moves steadily.

Detective Yuki Tanaka: The Congregation built the vessel. Verne activated it. Someone told him how. That thread is still loose.

Panel 3:Yuki closes the notebook and holds it in both hands in her lap. She looks out at the empty street — the bone fragments dark and still in the early light, the glass glittering. Her expression is quiet and watchful, the exhaustion visible in the set of her shoulders.

Panel 4:Wide shot of the full block in early morning light. Bone fragments lie scattered and motionless across the asphalt — dark, still, and cold. A city pigeon lands on the pavement near one fragment, looks at it, and walks away. Nothing moves.

Panel 5:Close-up on a single deep crack in Lincoln Preservation Hall's stone facade — the crack runs from the damaged entrance up through the carved stone, disappearing into shadow. The interior of the crack is dark. The image holds on the darkness inside the crack.

Panel 6:Inside the crack — deep in the shadow where no dawn light reaches — a single point of violet light flickers. It pulses once. It holds. It does not go out.

Narrator:Contained. For now.
