▸ STINKIE AND THE PRINCESS

The Birthday Party

The Princess: Birthday girl, chief inventor, and rescue leader. She starts by trying to solve everything alone, then learns to trust her friends. Stinkie: Her loyal best friend and comic relief, using his stink power to create distractions or block Cluck Cluck’s escape. Sir Fluffington: The beloved cockerpoo sidekick who is taken during the party. Two or three party friends: an observant friend who follows Cluck Cluck’s trail, a brave friend who helps reach Sir Fluffington, an inventive friend who helps Princess repair or combine her gadgets. Rescue story: The Princess’s birthday party begins in a bright, cheerful setting. Cluck Cluck interrupts the celebration and steals Sir Fluffington. The Princess initially tries to rescue him alone with a new invention, but the plan fails. Her friends each contribute a different skill to track Cluck Cluck to his hideout. The Princess coordinates the rescue instead of doing everything herself. Stinkie creates a distraction while the friends free Sir Fluffington. Cluck Cluck is defeated by their teamwork and offered a chance to join the party if he apologizes. The birthday celebration resumes, with The Princess realizing that friendship—not one perfect invention—saved the day. This keeps the emotional center on Princess while making the rescue genuinely depend on her friends. User decisions: The issue is 12 pages. Invent names and personalities for all three party friends.

PAGE 1

Panel 1:Wide exterior shot of The Princess's house on Chedderton Close, decorated with bright rainbow bunting, balloons tied to the garden gate, and a hand-painted banner reading 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS!' The front garden is set up with a party table covered in a polka-dot tablecloth, piled with snacks, a three-tier cake, and party hats. Stinkie stands on the garden wall, big striped tail swishing, wearing a paper party hat tilted over one fluffy ear. Sir Fluffington — a fluffy cockerpoo with a curly cream coat — bounces at his feet with a tiny party hat strapped to his head.

Panel 2:Medium shot of three children gathered around the party table. Pip — a small girl with large round glasses, neat braids, and a magnifying glass hanging from her neck — peers closely at a party snack, inspecting it in the middle of the group. Remy — a stocky boy with a gap-toothed grin, wearing a cape over his party clothes — stands on the left of the scene. Dot — a girl with paint-stained fingers, wild curly red hair, and a tool belt worn over her dress — is already tinkering with a party popper, taking it apart to 'improve' it.

“Remy: Best party ever and it hasn't even started! Pip: Technically it started four minutes ago.”

Panel 3:The Princess bursts through the front door of the house, wearing a sparkly birthday crown over her usual inventor's goggles pushed up on her forehead. She carries a tray with birthday cupcakes in one hand and a small brass gadget in the other. Her expression is enormous joy — wide grin, eyes bright. Sir Fluffington spins in excited circles at her feet.

“The Princess: The birthday girl is HERE — and I have a surprise invention to show you all!”

Panel 4:Close-up two-shot of Stinkie and The Princess facing each other. Stinkie's cheeky grin is at full wattage; he holds out a badly wrapped present with a lopsided bow. The Princess raises one eyebrow at the wrapping — it appears to be a paper bag with 'PRESENT' written on it in marker.

“Stinkie: I have a present for you. I wrapped it myself! The Princess: It is a paper bag, Stinkie. But thank you.”

PAGE 2

Panel 1:The Princess stands at the head of the party table, holding up her new invention — a compact brass-and-rubber device shaped like a small satellite dish with a glowing green centre, labelled 'TRAIL-BLAZER MARK II' on a sticky label. The friends lean in with interest: Pip adjusts her glasses, Dot reaches forward to examine the components, Remy's eyes go wide.

“The Princess: Behold — the Trail-Blazer Mark II! It maps any path taken by a moving target ... in theory.”

Panel 2:Dot leans right over the table, red curls falling forward, tool in hand, pointing at a specific component on the Trail-Blazer Mark II with an excited expression. The Princess pulls the device back slightly, protective of it.

“Dot: That coupling looks loose. I could tighten it for you. The Princess: It is perfectly calibrated, thank you.”

Panel 3:Wide shot of the whole party group in a happy moment: Stinkie is blowing a party horn, confetti in the air. Sir Fluffington chases a balloon across the grass. Pip has her magnifying glass raised to examine a cupcake with scientific seriousness. Remy balances a party hat on his nose. The Princess laughs, crown slightly askew. The garden looks festive and cheerful.

Panel 4:Sudden chaos — a large dark shape crashes through the garden gate, sending balloons flying. It is Cluck Cluck: a large evil chicken in a tiny black cape, red comb blazing, beady eyes gleaming. He lands in the middle of the party table, sending cupcakes and streamers scattering. Everyone at the table recoils in shock. Sir Fluffington freezes mid-bounce, ears flat.

“Cluck Cluck: BWAK HA HA! Your little party is OVER, Princess!”

Panel 5:Close-up on Cluck Cluck's beady, triumphant eye reflecting the shocked faces of the party guests. His red comb is vivid. A single cupcake sits splattered on his cape.

“Cluck Cluck: I've come for something far more valuable than your cheese this time!”
