Roy’s Night(mare) Out
Roy has a rough day at the WereHouse when a shipment gets held up by a freaked-out human UPS driver. Roy manages to calm the man down and sign for the packages, saving the day. After work, the whole crew — Jennifurr, Axel, Cadillac, Evil Forklift, and even Gary — take Roy out to Mil's supernatural bar to celebrate. Roy can't handle supernatural liquor, gets hilariously wasted, and nearly gets arrested by Zombie Cop before the gang bails him out.

Panel 1:Wide exterior shot of the WereHouse loading dock — a gritty urban warehouse with a flickering neon 'WereHouse AV' (with a howling wolf in the “O” of Werehouse) sign above the bay doors. Morning light hits cracked asphalt. Evil Forklift sits in the dock, large evil green eyes half-lidded, a glowing green joint clamped in his fork tines, trails of green smoke curling from his exhaust. A gargoyle sits on a speaker with glowing red eyes
Panel 2:Roy stands at the dock's clipboard station in his WereHouse polo, scanning a delivery schedule. His hair is slightly mussed, eyes tired. Behind him, stacked AV crates wait to be received.
“Roy : Okay. Big shipment today. Just gotta keep it together.”
Narrator:“Another morning at the WereHouse. Young Roy is still getting used to the 9pm-5am schedule. ”
Panel 3:Gary the ghost floats through a concrete wall, clipboard in translucent hand, wearing a tiny manager's lanyard. He beams with enthusiasm, eyes wide and cheerful.
“Gary : Roy! The mixer shipment arrives at nine. Do NOT mess this up. Also — need to take the interspecies sexual harassment training. No biggie . HR thing.”
Panel 4:Roy stares at Gary, mouth open, hand raised to object. Gary is already phasing back through the wall, waving cheerfully over his shoulder.
“Roy : Another packet? I just finished the last one on “Race and supernatural - ending Black Magic discrimination” ”
Panel 5:Cadillac leans against a stack of road cases, toothpick in mouth, arms crossed, sunglasses up on his forehead. He watches Roy with heavy-lidded amusement.
“Cadillac : Get used to it rookie. Wake me when the truck gets here.”

Panel 1:A brown UPS-style delivery truck pulls up to the loading dock. The Human UPS Man sits in the driver's seat, visible through the windshield — heavyset, frowning, his eyes wide as he takes in the WereHouse sign and the green smoke drifting from Evil Forklift.
Panel 2:The Human UPS Man climbs out of the truck cab, clipboard clutched to his chest. He stares at Evil Forklift, whose giant green eyes swivel to look at him. The UPS Man's face is pale and horrified.
“Human UPS Man: What in the — that forklift is EVIL!”
Panel 3:Evil Forklift's green eyes narrow menacingly. A thick plume of glowing green smoke billows from his exhaust. The Gadsden flag sticker on his side is clearly visible. He emits a low mechanical growl.
“Evil Forklift : What're YOU lookin' at, pal?”
Panel 4:The Human UPS Man backs against his truck, reaching into his jacket with both hands. He pulls out a crucifix in one hand and a small Bible in the other, holding them forward defensively, arms trembling.
“Human UPS Man: Stay BACK! I rebuke you, demon machine!”
Panel 5:Roy steps out from the dock bay, hands raised in a calming gesture, placing himself between the UPS Man and Evil Forklift. Roy's expression is earnest and non-threatening.
“Roy : Hey, hey — easy! I'm Roy. I'm human, just like you. I'll sign for everything. Nobody's gonna hurt you.”
Panel 6:Close-up on the Human UPS Man's face — still shaky, but his eyes focus on Roy. The crucifix lowers slightly. A tiny flicker of relief crosses his sweaty face.
“Human UPS Man: ...You're human? Actually human?”
PAGE 3
Panel 1:Roy and the Human UPS Man stand together beside the truck. The UPS Man holds out his electronic signature pad; Roy signs it with a stylus. The crucifix and Bible are tucked back in the UPS Man's jacket. Both men look calm.
“Human UPS Man: Sorry about... all that. This place freaks me out. Roy : Honestly? Same. Sign here?”
Panel 2:Wide shot: Roy wheels a hand truck stacked with large equipment boxes into the dock bay. In the background, Jennifurr — a muscular female werewolf in coveralls, fur slightly unkempt — watches from the bay door with arms crossed, a small approving look on her face.
Panel 3:Axel — a sleek, sharply-dressed non-binary werewolf with a condescending expression — leans in the doorframe, arms folded, one eyebrow raised at Roy.
“Axel: That delivery was forty minutes late. Classic Roy!”
Panel 4:Jennifurr turns to Axel with a flat, unimpressed stare, one hand on her hip. Axel's smug expression wavers slightly.
“Jennifurr: He talked down a panicking human AND signed for the delivery. What did YOU do, Axel? Axel: I’m a tech, not a day laborer! ”
Panel 5:Gary floats in from above, descending through the ceiling, beaming proudly. He holds a hand-drawn 'EMPLOYEE OF THE HOUR' certificate — the lettering is uneven but enthusiastic.
“Gary : Roy! I made you an award! Also I filed a commendation. And a grievance. Separate matters.”

Panel 1:Late afternoon. The WereHouse interior — shelves of AV gear, cables, road cases. The crew gathers near the time clock. Cadillac stretches with an exaggerated yawn, toothpick still in his mouth. Jennifurr pulls off work gloves. Axel checks their phone. Gary floats nearby.
“Cadillac : Clock's hit five. Who's ready to get weird?”
Panel 2:Roy emerges from the back, wiping his hands on a rag. He looks exhausted but satisfied. The crew all look at him with varying degrees of anticipation.
“Roy : Please tell me we're done for the day. Jennifurr: Better. We're taking you out.”
Panel 3:Evil Forklift rolls into frame from the loading dock, green eyes wide with excitement, exhaust puffing a celebratory green cloud. A hand-painted banner dangles from his forks: 'DRINKS' — the lettering is crude and slightly sinister.
“Evil Forklift : Oh yeah. EF's drinkin' tonight. Don't try to stop me.”
Panel 4:Roy turns to look at Evil Forklift, eyebrows raised in disbelief. Cadillac claps Roy on the back hard enough to stagger him, grinning around his toothpick.
“Roy : The forklift is coming to the bar? Cadillac : Buddy, the forklift's buying the first round.”
Panel 5:Alejandro the Janitor sweeps in the background, his magic broom gliding on its own across the floor, leaving the concrete spotless. He doesn't look up, utterly unbothered by the chaos.
Panel 6:Frank the trucker werewolf — massive, heavyset, muscular, aviator sunglasses on — leans out of a parked rig at the dock. He gives a thumbs up with one enormous hand.
“Frank: I'll meet you all there. Don't start shots without me.”

Panel 1:Night. Exterior of a supernatural bar — neon sign reads 'THE HOWLING PINT.' The building is wedged between two normal storefronts on a city block. Creatures of all kinds filter in. Evil Forklift is parked outside, his green eyes scanning the entrance with excitement, green smoke drifting.
Narrator:“One of NYC’s underground dives. The only bar Dorothy Parker and Dorothy Parker’s ghost are both banned from ”
Panel 2:Interior of the bar — dark, neon-lit, packed with monsters. Behind the bar, Mil the Bartender stands with hands on the counter, glowing buxom in eerie purple light, her petite features framed by the back-bar bottles. Shot glasses orbit her in a slow telekinetic circle.
“Mil the Bartender : WereHouse crew! About time. What are we having?”
Panel 3:The WereHouse crew piles into the bar — Jennifurr, Cadillac, Axel, Gary floating near the ceiling, and Roy, who stares wide-eyed at the monster-filled room. Frank fills the doorframe behind them, aviator sunglasses still on.
“Cadillac : Mil, hit us with the Howling Round. All of us. Roy : What's a Howling Round?”
Panel 4:Mil telekinetically lines up six glowing shot glasses on the bar. Each one shimmers with a different supernatural color — purple, green, gold, red, blue, silver. Roy stares at the one placed in front of him, leaning in to inspect it.
“Roy : That's... a lot of words for a shot. Mil the Bartender : Fermented wolfsbane and wormood. Aged in a sarcophagus ”
Panel 5:Wide shot of the crew all raising their glasses in a toast. Roy holds his up hesitantly. Gary's translucent hand passes through the glass but he beams anyway. Evil Forklift's green eyes are visible through the bar window outside, pressed against the glass eagerly.
“Cadillac : To Roy. Talked down a human AND got us our shipment. Jennifurr: To Roy.”
PAGE 6
Panel 1:Roy throws back the glowing shot. His eyes go enormous immediately — pupils dilated to massive cartoon circles, hair standing on end. The empty glass sits on the bar. Smoke and flames shoot out of his ears
Panel 2:Roy sits straight up on his barstool, face flushed bright red, upside down crosses in his eyes. A look of righteous determination spreading across his face. Jennifurr watches him with one eyebrow raised. Axel turns away, pointedly unimpressed.
“Roy : I’m ready to fight god! Jennifurr: Not now, not ever Axel: Wow, already drunk. One shot. Classic Roy!”
Panel 3:Roy stands on top of his barstool, arms wide, addressing the entire monster-filled bar like he's giving a speech. Monsters stare at him. Cadillac watches with a huge grin, toothpick still in place.
“Roy : I just wanna say — werewolves are GREAT! You're all great! Even the forklift!”
Panel 4:Mil the Bartender slides another glowing drink across the bar telekinetically toward Roy. She smiles, her purple glow intensifying. She leans in, using her arms to pop out her ample bosom. Jennifurr reaches out and stops the drink with one hand, eyes narrowing.
“Jennifurr: He's done, Mil. Mil the Bartender : Another? On the house, honey.”
Panel 5:Roy has somehow ended up at a monster's table, arm around a large friendly-looking cyclops, both holding drinks and laughing uproariously. Frank watches from his barstool, shaking his enormous head slowly.
“Frank: Kid's got no ceiling for weird. I respect it.”
Panel 6:Roy bursts through the bar's front door onto the NYC sidewalk, arms raised, howling at the moon — literally howling, mouth wide open. He's doing a very bad impression of a werewolf. The street is quiet.
“Roy : AWOOOOO! I'm basically a werewolf! HONORARY WOLF!”
PAGE 7
Panel 1:A police cruiser — battered, paint peeling, with a faded 'NYPD' logo — rolls slowly up to the curb. The officer behind the wheel is the Zombie Cop: grey-green skin, uniform tattered and stained, one eye slightly askew, police cap crooked. He stares out the window at Roy.
Panel 2:Zombie Cop steps out of the cruiser — lurching slightly, one shoe dragging — and approaches Roy, who is still howling. Zombie Cop holds up a tattered ticket book, pen in a decaying hand.
“Zombie Cop : Sir. Sir. You're under arrest for... public intoxication. Also public howling. That's a thing.”
Panel 3:Roy points at the Zombie Cop with wide drunken eyes, leaning forward at an alarming angle. He's grinning ear to ear.
“Roy : You're a ZOMBIE. You are literally a zombie cop. This is the BEST night of my life.”
Panel 4:The WereHouse crew spills out of the bar door in a cluster — Jennifurr in the lead, followed by Cadillac, Axel, Frank filling the entire doorframe, and Gary floating above them all. They all see Roy being addressed by Zombie Cop.
“Jennifurr: Roy, get away from the cop! Cadillac : Aw man, he found the pigs already?”
Panel 5:Zombie Cop — now referred to by Cadillac as Zombie Cop — turns to face the crew, ticket book still raised. He points a decaying finger at Roy, then at the cruiser.
“Zombie Cop : This one's a public nuisance. I'm writing him up.”
PAGE 8
Panel 1:Jennifurr steps directly in front of Zombie Cop, arms crossed, staring him down. She is a full head taller. Zombie Cop's crooked eye flickers upward to meet her gaze.
“Jennifurr: Officer. He's with us. He's a WereHouse employee. Zombie Cop : ...Fine. But keep your human on a leash, Jennifurr.”
Panel 2:Zombie Cop tears a small ticket from his book anyway and holds it out. Roy takes it, squinting at it with one eye. He burps a green belch. The ticket reads 'WARNING: Public Howling — Unlicensed.'
“Zombie Cop : Consider this a warning. Next time you’re going even deeper underground!”
Panel 3:The police cruiser pulls away slowly, lurching a little as Zombie Cop drives. The crew watches it go. Roy holds the ticket up, reading it with a dazed smile. Evil Forklift rolls up beside Roy, green eyes gleaming, releasing a satisfied puff of green smoke.
“Evil Forklift : Kid, that's the most respectable thing you've done since you started.”
Panel 4:Roy leans against Evil Forklift's side, sliding down to sit on the curb, utterly spent but grinning. Jennifurr sits down beside him on the curb. Close shot: both staring up at the sky, shoulders almost touching. Above them, the full moon is bright.
“Roy : Is it always like this? Jennifurr: No. Sometimes it gets weird.”
Panel 5:Wide shot of the whole crew on the sidewalk outside the bar — Cadillac leaning on a parking meter toothpick in mouth, Axel scrolling their phone, Frank's enormous silhouette blocking the bar sign, Gary floating above them all with a goofy grin, and Evil Forklift parked at the curb with a glowing green joint. Roy and Jennifurr sit together on the curb below. The neon sign of The Howling Pint glows behind them all.
“Cadillac : Most rookies don’t survive the first night out…. Maybe this kid is alright Gary : I filed paperwork for tonight. It counts as team-building!”
Narrator:“Roy learned a valuable lesson that night - cops are brain dead and alcohol is the key to making friends in the workplace. ”
