Episode 2

Write Episode 2 as a faithful continuation of Episode 1 and the planned Chapter Four: The Shadow Network. Keep the noir spy-thriller tone, psychological tension, dissociative and compartmentalized psychology for Zy, and equal agency for Tracy. The episode is 20 pages and should be dense, cinematic, and faithful to the established characters and continuity. The story begins directly after Episode 1: Zy and CONTACT-7 have met at the harbor warehouse, Vance believes Zy is neutralized, Tracy has been suspended after Leo's death, and both are independently investigating Julian Vance and the Apex Unit. Make the central event a Congressional security summit where Vance appears publicly as a respected security consultant while secretly manipulating the federal investigation and preparing a trap. Structure the issue around parallel investigations. Zy works from inside the Apex Unit with CONTACT-7's help, tracking shell companies, financial records, couriers, safe houses, and Vance's operational network. Tracy pursues the altered evidence from the restaurant case and discovers that someone inside the federal system has been protecting Vance. Reveal that Leo was targeted not only as a scapegoat but because his logistics work unknowingly exposed a route or financial transfer connected to the Apex Unit. Zy and Tracy should encounter each other before the summit, then collide again during the summit. They are both attracted to each other but deeply distrustful after the restaurant shooting. Weave sexual tension through charged proximity, restrained physical reactions, old intimacy resurfacing, and arguments where neither can admit they still care. Keep it adult, noir, and subordinate to the investigation; do not resolve their romance. During the summit's attack and escape, Zy and Tracy must each save the other's life at least once. Their cooperation should be reluctant and tactical rather than sentimental. Vance should manipulate footage and evidence to make Tracy look responsible and Zy look like her accomplice. By the climax, they discover that each holds half of the evidence needed to expose Vance, forcing them into a fragile alliance. Vance should escape total public exposure but realize they are working together, setting up the next episode. End with Zy and Tracy in a hidden location, standing close over the combined evidence. They still do not fully trust one another, but agree to bring Vance down together. Preserve the established noir imagery: rain, glass, concrete, harbor light, institutional spaces, shadows, surveillance screens, and emotionally restrained faces. Use full spoken dialogue in every dialogue panel and keep most pages at five or six panels, with only occasional variations for emphasis.

PAGE 1

Panel 1:A vast industrial harbor warehouse at dawn. Concrete floor stretches into shadow. Overhead girders cast long bars of gray light through grimy windows. Zy stands motionless near a steel support column, hands at his sides, dark charcoal sweater and jeans, face composed but eyes alert. His breath forms thin vapor in the cold air. Behind him, shipping containers loom in silhouette. The world is still and cold.

Narrator:The lie is dead.

Panel 2:CONTACT-7 emerges from the warehouse shadows, dark tactical gear, tight bun, sharp angular face. She moves with military precision toward Zy, her canvas duffel bag slung across her torso. Their eyes meet. No embrace. Her expression is unreadable.

CONTACT-7: Vance thinks you broke.

Panel 3:Zy's jaw tightens. His hands clench into fists at his sides, then deliberately relax. He looks away toward the grimy windows where the harbor is barely visible.

Zy: He believes what he wants to believe.

Panel 4:CONTACT-7 steps closer, her tactical boots echoing on concrete. She studies Zy's face with the precision of someone reading a target.

CONTACT-7: You want justice or revenge?

Panel 5:Zy turns his head to face CONTACT-7 directly. His dark eyes are steady but hollow, a compartment opening inside his chest where Leo once lived. His voice is flat.

Zy: Does it matter?

Panel 6:CONTACT-7 reaches into her duffel and withdraws a heavy manila folder. She extends it toward Zy. Her hand is steady. The folder is thick with documents, photographs, financial records.

CONTACT-7: It matters to the mission.

PAGE 2

Panel 1:Federal building interior. A sparse, institutional office with gray carpet, beige walls, and a single desk. Tracy sits motionless in a metal chair, her tailored beige blazer draped over the chair back, her dark silk blouse catching the fluorescent overhead light. Her hands rest on an open case file marked with red SUSPENDED stamps. Her eyes move across pages of restaurant incident reports. The room is silent and airless.

Narrator:The suspension order came three hours after the shooting.

Panel 2:Close on Tracy's hand turning a page. The incident timeline shows the restaurant shooting logged at 19:47. But the federal records timestamp shows 20:15—twenty-eight minutes later. She turns another page. The autopsy report is dated the next morning, but the preliminary field notes timestamp has been altered. Her eyes narrow.

Panel 3:Tracy leans back in the metal chair. Her jaw clenches. She pulls a second file from the stack—federal surveillance logs for the shell company that Apex Unit operatives have been using as a front. The pages show gaps. Twenty-four hours of surveillance footage marked CORRUPTED. Another section shows REDACTED in heavy black ink, the redaction authority listed as Internal Affairs, signed by a name she recognizes: Morrison.

Tracy: Morrison doesn't have redaction authority.

Panel 4:Tracy stands abruptly, the chair scraping against concrete. She moves to a window overlooking the city. Rain streaks the glass. Her reflection looks back at her, hollow-eyed and suspended.

Tracy: Someone inside is protecting them.

Panel 5:Tracy turns back to the desk and opens her encrypted laptop. She begins typing, her fingers moving with federal agent precision. The screen glows with classified database queries. She is no longer suspended—she is hunting.

Narrator:The suspension is a cage. The cage is open.

PAGE 3

Panel 1:A commercial office tower in the financial district. Glass and steel. Zy enters through a service entrance, wearing a maintenance worker's uniform with a forged ID badge clipped to his chest. His eyes scan the corridor with tactical precision. Security cameras are mounted at intervals; he has already memorized their patrol cycles.

Narrator:The shell company uses three layers of corporate registration to hide Vance's money. Zy knows the architecture.

Panel 2:Zy navigates a stairwell. His hand moves along the rail. Each step is deliberate and silent. He ascends four flights without hesitation—he has studied the building layout, the electrical closets, the archive room on the fourth floor.

Panel 3:The financial archive room. Rows of filing cabinets line the walls. A single desk holds a computer terminal. Zy moves to the terminal and produces a small device from his maintenance uniform pocket—a data tap. His fingers move with practiced speed, inserting it into the USB port. On the screen, files begin to copy: shell company ledgers, wire transfer logs, operational accounts.

Panel 4:The same archive room. Tracy enters through the main door, also wearing a maintenance uniform, also carrying forged credentials. She moves toward the same filing cabinets, searching for the same shell company records. She does not see Zy yet. The room is silent. Two hunters in the same cage.

Panel 5:Zy's eyes register movement. He turns his head. Tracy is ten feet away, pulling a file from the cabinet marked with the shell company's corporate registry number. Their eyes lock. Recognition is instant and dangerous. His hand is still on the data tap.

Panel 6:Tracy's hand moves to her concealed service weapon. Zy's hand moves away from the terminal toward his own concealed weapon. Neither draws. Neither speaks. The air between them is electric with restrained violence and something older—the memory of his hand in hers under a white tablecloth.

Tracy: You're still working for him. Zy: You're still working against him. You're also still suspended.

PAGE 4

Panel 1:The archive room. Zy and Tracy stand motionless, weapons half-drawn, eyes locked. The space between them is charged. Neither can afford to shoot; the sound would bring security. Neither can afford to leave without the data.

Zy: What did you find? Tracy: Altered evidence. Federal tampering. Morrison's signature on redactions he can't authorize.

Panel 2:Zy's jaw shifts. He processes the information with tactical speed. Morrison is inside the federal system. Morrison is protecting Vance. His hand relaxes slightly on his weapon.

Zy: Leo accessed something he shouldn't have.

Panel 3:Tracy's face hardens. The mention of Leo is a blade. She steps forward, closing the distance between them to five feet. Her eyes are fierce.

Tracy: His logistics work. The supply route from the port.

Panel 4:Zy's hand falls away from his weapon completely. His face is stone. The data tap is still connected to the terminal behind him. The files are still copying.

Zy: He didn't know what he was carrying.

Panel 5:An alarm klaxon screams through the building. Red emergency lights strobe across the archive room walls. Both Zy and Tracy react instantly—weapons drawn now, tactical awareness flooding back. Footsteps echo in the corridor. Multiple operatives are moving toward the archive door. Apex Unit. They have been discovered.

Panel 6:Zy grabs the data tap. Tracy grabs the file. They move in unison toward the rear window of the archive room. Neither hesitates. Their weapons are up. The corridor door begins to open.

Zy: Go!

PAGE 5

Panel 1:Zy and Tracy plunge through the archive window four stories above the street. They are tethered to a pre-positioned rappel line that Zy rigged hours earlier. Glass shatters around them. The line catches. They descend in controlled, rapid motion toward the alley below.

Panel 2:The alley. Zy hits the pavement first and rolls to absorb impact. Tracy lands beside him. Above, Apex operatives appear at the shattered window. Gunfire erupts. Bullets spark off concrete. An operative is aiming a rifle scope.

Panel 3:Zy pushes Tracy toward a parked delivery truck twenty feet away. He turns and fires three controlled shots at the operative with the rifle scope. The operative recoils. Zy's shots do not kill—they are meant to suppress and delay.

Panel 4:Tracy reaches the delivery truck. She yanks the door open. The driver is inside—a civilian. She pulls him out with her service weapon drawn, her voice level and authoritative. Zy is still firing, still moving backward toward the truck.

Tracy: Federal agent. Out. Now.

Panel 5:Zy reaches the truck and throws himself into the passenger seat. Tracy is already behind the wheel, engine roaring to life. The truck lurches forward. More gunfire cracks the rear window. The truck accelerates into traffic, weaving between cars.

Panel 6:Three blocks away. Tracy pulls the truck into a parking garage and kills the engine. Silence. Both of them are breathing hard. Zy holds the data tap. Tracy holds the file. They sit in the truck cab, close enough to touch, far enough to kill each other. Neither speaks. The file and the tap are the only things between them that matter.

PAGE 6

Panel 1:The harbor warehouse. Zy stands before CONTACT-7, the data tap connected to a portable analysis terminal. Files scroll across the screen—shell company ledgers, wire transfer logs, operational accounts. CONTACT-7 studies the data with the precision of a former operative analyzing an enemy network.

Narrator:The data is a map. Every wire transfer is a thread.

Panel 2:CONTACT-7 points to a specific transaction log. A supply route from the port. Multiple entries dated over eighteen months. The amounts are substantial. The destination is coded.

CONTACT-7: This route moves through Leo's logistics network.

Panel 3:Zy's hands clench. His face does not change. Inside, a compartment opens. Leo was a circuit breaker. Leo was also a courier, unknowingly moving assets through his military network.

Zy: Vance used him before he killed him.

Panel 4:CONTACT-7 continues scrolling. The data reveals a larger pattern. Multiple routes. Multiple operatives. Multiple shell companies. A network that spans federal, military, and private sectors.

CONTACT-7: This is infrastructure. Operational capacity.

Panel 5:Zy leans closer to the screen. A date appears in the transaction log: six weeks in the future. A major transfer. A Congressional security summit is listed in the memo field.

Zy: What is the summit?

Panel 6:CONTACT-7 produces a second file from her canvas duffel—printed intelligence on the Congressional security summit. Vance's name appears on the speaker list. He will present as a respected security consultant, advising on threats and protocols.

CONTACT-7: Vance is walking into the Capitol as a patriot.

PAGE 7

Panel 1:A federal records office in a nondescript government building. Rows of filing cabinets, institutional carpet, fluorescent lighting. Tracy sits across a desk from a federal records officer, Morrison, a man in his fifties with a gray suit and a guarded expression. On the desk between them is an incident report with Morrison's signature.

Tracy: You signed the redaction on the restaurant case file.

Panel 2:Morrison leans back in his chair. His hands fold on the desk. His jaw tightens. He is measuring whether to lie or admit.

Morrison: That redaction came from above my pay grade.

Panel 3:Tracy's eyes narrow. She leans forward. Her voice is level and deadly.

Tracy: Who ordered it?

Panel 4:The office door explodes inward. A man in tactical gear—an Apex operative—enters with a weapon drawn. Morrison's eyes go wide. He was a trap. Tracy's hand moves to her service weapon, but the operative fires. Morrison's body convulses. He falls.

Panel 5:Tracy rolls left, drawing her weapon in one fluid motion. She fires twice at the operative. One round catches his shoulder. He drops. She is already moving toward Morrison's desk, toward the filing cabinet behind it where the original unredacted case file is stored.

Panel 6:Tracy grabs the unredacted file and moves toward the rear exit. The operative is down but not dead. Sirens wail outside the building. She has minutes. She exits through a service corridor, file clutched against her chest, disappearing into the federal building's institutional maze.

Narrator:Morrison was a dead drop. Someone wanted her to find the truth. Someone inside is helping her.

PAGE 8

Panel 1:A warehouse district at dusk. Zy moves through shadows with tactical precision. An Apex courier has been tracked to this location—a dead drop point for operational communications. Zy is alone. CONTACT-7 is positioned three blocks away as overwatch.

Narrator:The courier carries the summit logistics. The summit carries Vance's next move.

Panel 2:Zy moves silently along the warehouse exterior. He approaches a loading dock where a man in a dark suit stands beside a black sedan. The courier. Zy's hand rests on a small injection device—a paralytic compound. The courier will not be killed. He will be extracted.

Panel 3:Zy moves from shadow to shadow. The courier is distracted, checking his phone. Zy is three feet away. Two feet. One.

Panel 4:The injection. The courier's body convulses and drops. Zy catches him before he hits concrete. He moves the courier into the sedan and restrains him with zip ties. The briefcase the courier was carrying is now in Zy's hands.

Panel 5:Zy opens the briefcase. Inside are printed documents, encrypted communications logs, and a detailed operational blueprint. The summit. The security protocols. The access points. And a memo: 'VANCE OPERATION APEX—FRAME TRACY, ELIMINATE ZY.'

Panel 6:Zy's face does not change. His hand closes on the memo. Inside, every compartment locks. The mission is no longer abstract. Vance has named his death and Tracy's betrayal in the same sentence.

Zy: The summit is a trap.

PAGE 9

Panel 1:A secure federal safe house. Tracy sits at a table covered with case files—the unredacted restaurant incident report, the altered federal records, the Morrison ambush photographs. She has been off the grid for eighteen hours. Her suspension is now a complete break from the FBI. She is fully alone.

Narrator:Morrison died because he was helping her. Someone inside the federal system is protecting Vance and killing those who resist.

Panel 2:Tracy leans back and studies the Congressional security summit briefing she obtained from an encrypted federal database. Vance's name. His credentials. His scheduled presentation on counter-terrorism protocols.

Tracy: Vance is walking into the Capitol.

Panel 3:Tracy's hands move across the documents. She begins to construct a timeline. The restaurant shooting. The evidence tampering. The federal protection. The summit. Each piece locks into place.

Tracy: He's using the summit to establish legitimacy.

Panel 4:Tracy stands and moves to a window overlooking the city. Her reflection is visible in the glass—a suspended agent, a woman alone, a hunter who has lost her pack.

Tracy: I can expose him. I have the evidence.

Panel 5:But exposure requires access. Access requires credentials. Credentials require the FBI. Tracy's suspension is absolute. She cannot walk into the Capitol as a federal agent. She cannot present evidence to her superiors. She cannot operate within the system that protects Vance.

Narrator:The suspension is not a cage. It is a weapon. Vance put her outside the law to make her powerless.

Panel 6:Tracy turns from the window. Her jaw sets. Her eyes harden. She will go to the summit anyway. She will find a way in. She will expose Vance as a criminal, using the evidence she has stolen and the truth Morrison died protecting.

Tracy: I'm going to the summit. Suspended or not.

PAGE 10

Panel 1:A vast harbor warehouse at dawn. Zy stands in a black sweater beside a metal table covered with a printed Congressional security summit schedule, a visitor credential, and a sealed evidence envelope. CONTACT-7 stands opposite him in dark clothing, her duffel bag at her feet. Rain streaks the high windows and harbor light reflects across the wet concrete floor.

Narrator:Forty-eight hours later, two separate investigations moved toward the same address.

Panel 2:CONTACT-7 studies Zy across the metal table. The printed summit layout lies between them, alongside the evidence envelope and a photograph of Julian Vance at a public podium.

CONTACT-7: Vance thinks you are finished.

Panel 3:Close on Zy in the warehouse's gray dawn light. His face remains composed while the summit photograph reflects in the dark window behind him.

Zy: He believes what keeps his world orderly.

Panel 4:Tracy sits alone in a dim safe-house apartment beside a rain-streaked window. Her open briefcase contains the altered restaurant report, a summit program, and a visitor credential. A laptop displays Julian Vance's name among the summit speakers.

Tracy: You built yourself a public life, Vance. I am going to read the parts you hid.

Panel 5:Zy walks through a harbor transit terminal under cold fluorescent lights, wearing a dark coat over his black sweater. Reflections of trains and rain slide across the glass behind him. Commuters pass around him.

Narrator:Zy traveled under a name Vance had never been given.

Panel 6:A wide rain-soaked view of the Capitol complex at dusk. Tracy approaches from a red-lit public entrance on the left with her dark briefcase. Zy approaches from a blue-lit service corridor on the right. The monumental building separates them; neither sees the other.

Narrator:They entered the same institution from opposite sides, carrying different halves of the truth.

PAGE 11

Panel 1:A red-lit visitor checkpoint inside the Capitol. Tracy presents her credential and summit program to a receptionist while a security camera glows above the doorway. She keeps her expression calm and her briefcase close to her side.

Tracy: I am here for the security review session.

Narrator:Tracy entered through the public side of the building.

Panel 2:A blue-lit service corridor beneath the auditorium. Zy walks beside concrete walls and exposed pipes, his plain credential visible on his coat. He pauses beneath a ceiling camera while a maintenance cart passes between him and the lens.

Narrator:Zy used the building's quieter passages.

Panel 3:Kane stands at a junction near the summit entrance wearing a dark suit and visitor credential. He checks a printed staff roster while two security personnel speak with him. A glass wall reflects the corridor behind him.

Narrator:Kane was already moving through the building, checking names and faces.

Panel 4:Tracy pauses behind a tall architectural column as Kane crosses the adjoining lobby. She watches his reflection in a polished glass panel while keeping her briefcase lowered and her body still.

Panel 5:Zy emerges from behind the maintenance cart into a narrow service passage. Kane's silhouette is visible far ahead through a glass door, turned away from Zy. Blue light cuts across Zy's face as he waits for the passage to clear.

Narrator:The building kept placing them on opposite sides of the same narrowing path.

Panel 6:Tracy and Zy arrive at separate ends of the auditorium entrance at nearly the same moment. Tracy stands beneath red light with her briefcase; Zy stands beneath blue light beside a service door. Kane is visible through the glass between them, continuing toward the front corridor. Zy and Tracy notice each other across the distance.

Tracy: You came through the service side. Zy: You came through the front.

Narrator:Neither had been stopped. Neither had been cleared.

PAGE 12

Panel 1:The Capitol's main corridor. Tracy moves through the crowd wearing a visitor's credential clipped to her navy blazer—forged, but flawless. Her dark hair is pulled back professionally. Her brown eyes scan the corridor with tactical precision. She carries a leather briefcase. Her hand rests near her concealed service weapon. She is hunting and hunted simultaneously.

Panel 2:Tracy approaches the auditorium entrance. She pauses, hand on the door frame, scanning the interior. Her eyes move across the crowd with methodical precision, cataloging positions, exits, threats. She is looking for Vance. She does not expect to find Zy.

Tracy: Vance is here. I can feel it.

Panel 3:Inside the auditorium. Tracy's eyes lock on Zy across the crowd. He stands near the rear wall, also wearing a visitor's credential, also moving with tactical awareness. Their eyes meet for a fraction of a second. Recognition is instant. His jaw tightens. Her hand moves away from her weapon. The air between them crackles despite the distance.

Panel 4:Close on Zy's face. His dark eyes are fixed on Tracy. For one moment, his compartmentalization cracks—she is alive, she is here, she is moving toward the same target he is. Then his expression hardens. He turns away, positioning himself near a service exit.

Zy: She shouldn't be here.

Narrator:Feelings are a liability.

Panel 5:Vance continues his presentation at the podium. His words flow with practiced authority. Behind him, the projection screen displays security protocols. He does not look directly at Tracy or Zy, but his awareness of both is absolute. A small smile plays at the corner of his mouth.

Julian Vance: Trust is the foundation of security. Without it, the system collapses.

PAGE 13

Panel 1:A service corridor beneath the auditorium. Zy moves with purpose, carrying a small encrypted device. He approaches a network junction box mounted on the wall. His fingers move with practiced speed, inserting a data spike into the security system. On a small screen in his hand, code scrolls—his counter-move against Vance's operational network.

Panel 2:Tracy appears at the far end of the service corridor. She has followed Zy. Her hand is near her weapon. She moves silently, boots echoing softly on concrete. When she sees him at the junction box, her expression hardens—confirmation that he is still working for Vance.

Tracy: You're still protecting him.

Panel 3:Zy turns. His hand moves away from the junction box. Tracy's hand is on her weapon. He can see the accusation in her eyes—and underneath it, something older, something that lives in the space between them. Neither draws. The corridor is silent except for the hum of electrical systems.

Zy: I'm dismantling him. Tracy: I don't believe you.

Panel 4:Zy steps toward Tracy. The distance between them closes to four feet. His dark eyes are steady. His voice is low and level. Behind him, the data spike continues uploading code to disrupt Vance's network. "The device behind me is destroying his operational infrastructure. I'm not protecting him. I'm ending him."

Zy: The device behind me is destroying his infrastructure. I'm ending him.

Panel 5:Tracy's hand falls away from her weapon. Her jaw tightens. She wants to believe him. She cannot afford to. But something in his face—something she remembers from under a white tablecloth—makes her hesitate. An alarm klaxon screams through the service corridor. Red emergency lights strobe. Vance's operatives are attacking. The trap has been triggered.

Tracy: We need to move.

Panel 6:Zy and Tracy move in unison toward a service exit. Behind them, footsteps echo—multiple operatives converging. Gunfire cracks through the corridor, bullets sparking off concrete and metal. Zy pushes Tracy toward the exit. She moves without hesitation. For this moment, they are aligned.

PAGE 14

Panel 1:An Apex operative rounds the corner with a raised rifle. His weapon is aimed at Tracy's back. Zy sees the operative in his peripheral vision. Without hesitation, he pivots and fires three controlled shots. The operative drops. Tracy is alive because Zy chose her life over concealment.

Panel 2:They reach a service stairwell. Tracy yanks the door open. Zy is directly behind her, weapon drawn. More operatives are converging from multiple directions. The stairwell is a bottleneck, but it is their only exit. They descend rapidly, boots echoing on concrete steps.

Tracy: How many are hunting us?

Panel 3:A second operative appears at the top of the stairwell, weapon raised. Tracy is exposed on the landing below. Zy grabs her arm and pulls her down three steps just as gunfire erupts. Bullets punch through the concrete wall where Tracy was standing seconds before. She would be dead if Zy had not moved.

Zy: Go!

Panel 4:They burst through the ground-level exit into a basement corridor. The air is cold and industrial. Concrete walls stretch in both directions. Behind them, the stairwell door slams open. Operatives are pursuing. Zy and Tracy move in synchronization—no longer enemies, no longer lovers, only two people who understand that survival requires trust.

Panel 5:They reach a heavy metal door marked MECHANICAL SYSTEMS. Tracy pulls it open. They slip inside and slam it shut. Through the small reinforced window, they can see operatives rushing past in the corridor. The door holds. They are temporarily safe in the mechanical room—a vast space filled with pipes, electrical conduits, and humming machinery. The air is thick and warm.

Tracy: They're herding us. Zy: Vance is controlling this.

Panel 6:Close on Zy and Tracy standing among the machinery. Their breathing is hard and synchronized. They are close enough to touch. His hand is near hers on the metal railing. Their eyes meet. The attraction between them is undeniable and dangerous. Neither speaks. The machinery hums around them.

PAGE 15

Panel 1:An observation room filled with security monitors. Vance sits at a console with Miller beside him. Multiple screens display live security footage from throughout the Capitol building. On one screen, Zy and Tracy are visible in the mechanical systems room. On another, security footage shows the auditorium descending into controlled panic—people evacuating, federal marshals moving into position.

Julian Vance: Show them the footage from the archive.

Panel 2:Miller's fingers move across a keyboard. New footage appears on the monitors. It shows Tracy placing a device at a network junction. It shows Zy covering her with a weapon. The timestamp is altered. The context is erased. To anyone watching, they are clearly working together to sabotage the summit.

Miller: Fabrication complete. Ready for distribution.

Panel 3:Vance leans back in his chair. His expression is calm satisfaction. He has orchestrated the narrative perfectly. By the time federal authorities review the footage, Tracy will be labeled a domestic terrorist and Zy will be her accomplice. Vance's hands will be clean.

Julian Vance: Once the footage spreads, Tracy becomes the enemy and Zy becomes complicit.

Panel 4:Miller's hands move across the keyboard. She initiates the distribution protocol. The fabricated footage is transmitted to federal databases, law enforcement networks, and news agencies. The narrative is now in motion. There is no stopping it.

Miller: It's spreading across every federal network.

Panel 5:A federal marshal's communication device crackles to life. An alert appears on screens across the Capitol building. ALERT: DOMESTIC THREAT INSIDE BUILDING. SUSPECTS ARMED AND DANGEROUS. TRACY [SUSPENDED FBI AGENT] AND ACCOMPLICE. All federal personnel are now hunting Zy and Tracy based on Vance's fabricated evidence.

Julian Vance: The hunt begins.

Narrator:The narrative is weaponized.

PAGE 16

Panel 1:The mechanical systems room. Zy and Tracy stand facing each other. Between them, the air is thick with unresolved history. His dark eyes search hers. Her hand moves to his chest—a gesture that is both accusation and vulnerability. "You knew Vance would use Leo. You knew and you did nothing."

Tracy: You knew Vance would use Leo. You knew and you did nothing.

Panel 2:Zy's jaw clenches. His hands clench into fists at his sides. "I tried to protect him. I injected a delay script into the transmission. I bought him time." His voice is flat, compartmentalized, the voice of a man who has locked away his grief.

Zy: I tried to protect him. I bought him three hours.

Panel 3:Tracy steps closer. Her eyes are fierce. "Three hours wasn't enough. He died because you chose the mission over him." Her voice breaks slightly—the first crack in her professional armor. She is accusing him of the choice she would have made, the choice they both made every day they worked for systems that demanded sacrifice.

Tracy: He died because you chose the mission.

Panel 4:Zy's hand moves to her face. His fingers brush her cheek. "I chose you. I always chose you." The statement is simple and devastating. It contains all the compartmentalized love he has carried for fifteen years, all the lies, all the betrayals that were necessary to keep her alive in a world that would have used her as leverage against him.

Zy: I chose you. I always chose you.

Panel 5:Tracy's hand finds his. Their fingers intertwine for a moment—an acknowledgment of something that exists beneath the investigation, beneath the lies, beneath the bodies. Then she pulls away. "We can't. Not now. Not here." Her voice is steady again, professional, but her hand lingers in his for one more second before letting go.

Tracy: We can't. Not now.

Panel 6:A federal marshal's voice crackles through a radio in the corridor outside. ALERT: SUSPECTS LOCATED IN BASEMENT LEVEL MECHANICAL SYSTEMS. The moment between them shatters. They separate. The hunt is closing in. They have minutes at most.

Tracy: We're out of time.

Narrator:The narrative has been rewritten. They are the enemy now.

PAGE 17

Panel 1:Zy pulls a small encrypted device from his jacket pocket. On the screen, data scrolls—the code he uploaded to Vance's operational network. Partial. Incomplete. "This is half of what we need. The operational infrastructure." He extends it toward Tracy.

Zy: This is half of what we need. The operational infrastructure.

Panel 2:Tracy reaches into her leather briefcase and withdraws a file folder. Inside are documents—the unredacted restaurant incident report, the altered federal records, Morrison's testimony transcribed before his death. She extends the folder toward Zy. "And this is the other half. The legal evidence. The chain of command."

Tracy: And this is the other half. The legal evidence. The chain of command.

Panel 3:They hold the evidence between them. The device and the folder. Neither is complete alone. Neither can expose Vance without the other. Their eyes meet. The understanding is wordless but absolute: they cannot succeed separately. They can only survive together.

Zy: Neither of us can do this alone.

Panel 4:Tracy nods slowly. "We work together. I get the legal evidence into federal court. You disrupt his network completely." Her voice is level, tactical, professional. But her hand rests on his for a moment longer than necessary.

Tracy: We work together. I move the legal evidence. You disrupt his network.

Panel 5:Footsteps echo in the corridor outside. Federal marshals are moving through the basement level, systematically searching each room. Zy and Tracy gather the evidence. They move toward a secondary exit at the far end of the mechanical room—a maintenance tunnel that connects to the Capitol's underground network. They have minutes before the marshals reach them.

Zy: The tunnel. Now.

PAGE 18

Panel 1:The underground maintenance tunnel beneath the Capitol. Concrete walls, exposed piping, dim emergency lighting. Zy and Tracy move through the tunnel with tactical precision. Zy carries the encrypted device. Tracy carries the file folder. Behind them, federal marshals enter the tunnel, weapons drawn, moving with coordinated pursuit.

Panel 2:A marshal rounds a corner ahead of them. Weapon raised. Tracy does not hesitate. She fires once. The marshal drops, wounded but alive. She keeps moving. "Keep going," she shouts to Zy. She has just made a choice—she has used lethal force against federal agents to protect him.

Tracy: Keep moving!

Panel 3:They reach a junction where the tunnel branches. Zy pulls Tracy toward the left passage. "This way. It leads to the service exit near the federal courthouse." He is using his pre-planned infiltration route to escape with her. He has already committed his resources to her survival.

Zy: This way. Federal courthouse.

Panel 4:Behind them, a second group of marshals converges on their position. Gunfire erupts. Concrete chips explode from the tunnel walls. Zy pushes Tracy forward and returns fire, covering her escape. He is deliberately positioning himself as the rear guard, the last line of defense.

Panel 5:They burst through a metal service door and emerge into the basement level of the federal courthouse, six blocks away through the tunnel system. The door slams shut behind them. Gunfire erupts on the other side of the door, but it holds. They are momentarily clear of immediate pursuit.

Tracy: We did it.

Panel 6:Zy and Tracy stand in the federal courthouse basement, breathing hard. The evidence is still intact. The device in his hand. The folder in hers. They are both alive. They have both killed and sacrificed to protect each other. The hunt continues above, but they have escaped the immediate trap.

Zy: Vance knows we're together now.

PAGE 19

Panel 1:A secure federal safe house—a nondescript apartment in a residential building. Zy and Tracy move through the space with tactical precision, securing windows, checking exits, verifying the location has not been compromised. The apartment is sparse and functional. No personal items. A place designed for people who cannot afford to be found.

Panel 2:A secure communication device sits on a table. Zy activates it and transmits an encrypted message to CONTACT-7. The message is brief: VANCE KNOWS WE'RE TOGETHER. INITIATING COUNTER-OPERATION. SAFE HOUSE LOCATION SECURE FOR 72 HOURS.

Panel 3:Across the city, CONTACT-7 receives the message in a secure operations center. She is surrounded by multiple monitors displaying live federal law enforcement communications, news feeds, and tactical updates. Her sharp angular face shows no expression, but her fingers immediately begin moving across a keyboard, initiating the next phase of the operation.

CONTACT-7: Understood. Executing counter-move.

Panel 4:An observation room at the Capitol building. Vance sits at the console with Miller beside him. Multiple screens show the manhunt unfolding across federal law enforcement networks. Red markers indicate pursuit teams converging on multiple locations. Vance's expression remains calm, but his jaw tightens slightly when he sees the latest update: SUSPECTS ESCAPED FEDERAL CUSTODY. LAST LOCATION UNKNOWN.

Julian Vance: They're moving together. Adapt the operation.

Panel 5:Vance stands and moves to a secure communication device. His hand rests on the device for a moment. He makes a decision. He initiates a new protocol—an escalation. A manhunt order is transmitted to every Apex operative in the region. The message is clear: ZY AND TRACY ARE TO BE ELIMINATED ON SIGHT.

Julian Vance: They've chosen their fate.

Narrator:The hunt expands beyond federal agencies. Vance's network is mobilized.

PAGE 20

Panel 1:A hidden room—a secure location CONTACT-7 has prepared for this contingency. Concrete walls, no windows, reinforced door, single table. Zy and Tracy stand over the table, which is covered with the evidence they have gathered: the encrypted device displaying the operational network architecture, the file folder with the legal documents, Morrison's testimony, the unredacted incident reports, the fabricated security footage that Vance distributed.

Panel 2:Close on Zy's hand moving across the table, tracing the connections between the documents and the device. Each piece of evidence is a thread in the larger tapestry of Vance's criminal network. His dark eyes move methodically across the evidence. His finger stops on a specific document—a wire transfer authorization signed by Vance himself.

Zy: This signature connects everything.

Panel 3:Tracy leans closer, studying the same document. Her brown eyes are sharp and analytical. She is looking at the evidence as a federal prosecutor would look at it—as a foundation for a case that will destroy Vance in a courtroom. "This is enough. If we can get this to the right people inside the FBI, Vance cannot hide."

Tracy: This is enough to destroy him in court.

Panel 4:Zy and Tracy stand close over the table, the evidence between them. The space between their bodies is charged with tension—attraction, mistrust, shared purpose, and the weight of everything they have sacrificed to reach this moment. His dark eyes meet her brown eyes. Neither speaks. Neither looks away.

Panel 5:Zy's hand moves to the back of Tracy's neck. His fingers rest there for a moment—a gesture that is both tender and dangerous. "We still don't trust each other," he says quietly. His voice is barely above a whisper.

Zy: We still don't trust each other.

Panel 6:Tracy's hand moves to his chest, pressing against the fabric of his dark charcoal sweater. "No," she says, her voice equally quiet. "But we're going to bring him down together." The statement is not a promise. It is a commitment born from necessity and something deeper that neither can afford to name. They stand close in the harsh light of the secure room, surrounded by the evidence of Vance's crimes, bound by purpose and desire in equal measure.

Tracy: But we're going to bring him down together.

Narrator:The partnership is fragile. The danger is absolute. The mission continues.
