supporting

Alex Chen is an East Asian male in his mid-20s, with a lean, average build. He has short, slightly messy black hair and tired, dark brown eyes with subtle bags underneath, reflecting his late nights. His skin tone is fair. He typically wears comfortable, casual attire suitable for working from home, such as a slightly worn grey hoodie over a dark t-shirt and jeans. He often appears with a laptop, a half-empty coffee mug, and a generally disheveled but focused look. Alex is shown discovering latent telekinetic abilities, making him a central figure in the story's developing plot.

Panel 1: Close-up on Alex Chen's face, mid-20s, looking tired and slightly frustrated. They are wearing casual clothes, sitting at a desk with a laptop open. A half-empty coffee mug is nearby.

ALEX CHEN: Another late night. This client feedback loop is endless.

Panel 2: Alex stands up, stretching, but trips over a crumpled rug on the floor. A stack of heavy art books they were about to move teeters precariously from their arms.

ALEX CHEN: Ugh, clumsy me...

Panel 3: A close-up of Alex's hands, strained, as the heavy stack of art books hovers inches above the floor, completely defying gravity. A faint, almost imperceptible shimmer of energy emanates from Alex's hands towards the books.

SFX: WHOOSH (softly)

Panel 4: Wide shot of Alex staring at the now gently resting stack of art books on the floor. Their expression is a mix of shock and confusion, looking from their hands to the books.

ALEX CHEN: What... how did I...?

Panel 1: Alex is alone in their apartment, intently focused on a small pen on their desk. They are holding their hands out, palms facing the pen, concentrating hard. Sweat beads on their forehead.

ALEX CHEN: Focus... just like before...

Panel 2: The pen on the desk suddenly zips across the room at high speed, embedding itself point-first into the drywall with a THWACK. Alex stares, surprised but also a little thrilled.

SFX: ZzzzzWIP! THWACK!

Panel 3: Alex, emboldened, now attempts to lift their heavy desk chair. They are gritting their teeth, arms outstretched, a more visible aura of kinetic energy faintly crackling around their hands and the chair.

ALEX CHEN: Okay, bigger now. I can do this! Just a little... more...

Panel 4: The desk chair, instead of gently lifting, rockets across the room with uncontrolled force, smashing through the large living room window. Shards of glass fly outwards onto the street below. Alex is utterly horrified, hands still raised in shock.

SFX: KRAAAASH! (Loud, violent glass breaking)

Page 3

Panel 1: An exterior shot of Alex's building. The large window on an upper floor is completely shattered, a gaping hole. Below, a pedestrian looks up, startled, shading their eyes from the falling glass.

PEDESTRIAN 1: Hey! What was that?!

Panel 2: Inside Alex's apartment. Alex is frantically trying to 'pull' the desk chair back through the broken window, but their power is out of control. Instead, a nearby potted plant on the windowsill is violently flung outwards, narrowly missing a lamppost.

ALEX CHEN: No! NO! Come back! Oh god!

Panel 3: A chaotic scene on the street. The desk chair has landed awkwardly, denting a parked car. The potted plant has shattered. Several pedestrians are shouting and pointing upwards. A garbage can tumbles down the street as if kicked by an invisible force.

PEDESTRIAN 2: Look! Up there! Something's happening!

Panel 4: A close-up on Alex's face, sweat dripping, eyes wide with strain. They are pushing all their focus into stopping a heavy, decorative street sign from falling onto a small child who has stumbled. Their hands glow brightly, and the sign hovers, then gently nudges away from the child.

ALEX CHEN: (Straining) Not... you...!

Page 4

Panel 1: Alex is sprawled on the floor of their apartment, amidst the shattered glass and general mess. They look utterly defeated, staring at their hands with a mix of awe and terror.

ALEX CHEN: What have I done...? This power... it's too much.

Panel 2: Alex sits on the edge of their couch, scrolling through their phone. The screen shows a local news headline: 'Unexplained Phenomena Causes Chaos Downtown - Property Damage Reported'. A blurry photo of the bent street light is visible.

NEWS ANCHOR (V.O.): ...authorities are still baffled by the incident...

Panel 3: Close-up on Alex's face. The previous fear and guilt are replaced by a growing determination. Their eyes are focused, jaw set.

ALEX CHEN: I almost hurt someone. But I also... I stopped that sign. I can control it. I HAVE to.

Panel 4: Alex stands tall, looking out of the broken window at the city skyline, which is now bathed in the warm glow of sunset. Their silhouette is strong and purposeful. They are no longer just a graphic designer; they are someone with a new calling.

ALEX CHEN: This isn't just a power. It's a responsibility. I'm going to make this right.
