When a dangerous criminal organization begins terrorizing his neighborhood, Tru must balance his duties as a husband to Adaijah and friend to Dean—his best friend and fellow veteran—while taking down the threat himself. PAGE 1

Panel 1:A military-themed barbershop storefront at dawn. The window displays vintage barber poles and framed photos of soldiers. The sign reads 'TRU'S CUTS' in bold letters. Inside, warm fluorescent lights glow. A figure moves behind the glass, unlocking the door.

Narrator:The city wakes. Most people go about their day. Tru goes about his night.

Panel 2:Interior of the barbershop. Military memorabilia covers the walls: dog tags, medals, a faded American flag. Three barber chairs sit empty. Tru stands behind the counter, checking his appointment book. His short black hair points upward, brown eyes focused. He wears a gray barber's smock over a dark shirt.

Narrator:By day, he cuts hair. By night, he cuts through the lies people tell themselves.

Panel 3:The door chimes. Dean enters, tall with blue eyes and a square jaw with short graying beard. He wears a casual jacket over a military t-shirt. He grins at Tru.

Dean: Same time, same chair, same man cutting? Tru: Every Saturday. Some things don't change.

Panel 4:Tru moves behind Dean's chair with clippers in hand. Their eyes meet in the mirror. Tru's expression is calm but there's a weight behind his gaze.

Tru: Heard about the warehouse fire last night? Dean: Third one this month. Same area.

Panel 5:Tru's hand pauses mid-cut. His jaw tightens. In the mirror, his reflection shows a man calculating something dark.

Dean: You're thinking about going after them. Tru: Someone has to.

Panel 6:Dean grabs Tru's wrist gently but firmly. His blue eyes are serious. Tru stops, clippers lowered.

Dean: Adaijah worries enough already. Tru: All the more reason to end this.

Panel 1:Tru's apartment kitchen. Adaijah stands at the stove, her long dark hair pulled back, muscular frame moving with athletic grace as she cooks breakfast. She wears a fitted tank top. Morning light streams through the window behind her.

Panel 2:Tru enters the kitchen, still in his barber's smock. He approaches Adaijah from behind. She doesn't turn around, but her shoulders tense slightly.

Adaijah: You overslept..again

Narrator:She always knows when he's been thinking about the night.

Panel 3:Close-up of Adaijah's face as she plates eggs. Her blue eyes are sharp, intelligent. She glances at Tru briefly, reading him.

Tru: Just didn’t sleep well. Adaijah: You're lying. Your jaw does that thing.

Panel 4:Tru sits at the table. Adaijah sits across from him, her athletic frame leaning forward slightly. Between them, breakfast steams. Her expression is a mixture of love and worry.

Tru: Just work stuff. Adaijah: Talk to me. What’s going on?

Panel 5:Adaijah's hand reaches across the table, touching Tru's wrist. Her blue eyes are fixed on his brown ones. There's a plea in her expression.

Adaijah: You can't save everyone. You know that. Tru: But I can save some. That has to be enough.

PAGE 3

Panel 1:Night falls over the city. A warehouse district sits dark and empty. The camera pulls back to show Tru moving across rooftops in tactical gear—dark pants, dark jacket, his short black hair visible under the moonlight. A combat knife is sheathed at his side. His square jaw and beard with gray stripe are set with resolve.

Narrator:When the city sleeps, Tru hunts.

Panel 2:Tru crouches on a warehouse roof, looking down at the street below. Three figures in dark hoodies load crates into a truck. One pulls back his hood—scarred face, cold eyes. This is Viktor, the operation's enforcer.

Panel 3:Tru draws his combat knife. The blade catches the moonlight. His brown eyes are cold, focused.

Narrator:This is what he was trained for. This is who he became when duty called.

Panel 4:Tru drops from the rooftop, landing hard on the warehouse loading dock. The impact cracks the concrete. The three criminals spin around. Viktor's scarred face twists in rage.

Viktor: Who the hell—

Panel 5:Tru's knife flashes. One criminal goes down, clutching his arm. The other two advance, pulling weapons—crowbars and chains.

Panel 6:Viktor stands over a fallen crate, blood dripping from his scarred mouth. He stares at Tru with hatred and something else—fear. Tru stands breathing heavily, knife still in hand, his expression unreadable.

Viktor: You think you've won? There are more of us. Tru: Then I'll find them too.

Panel 1:The truck roars to life and speeds away. Tru watches it disappear into the darkness, his jaw clenched. He pulls out a phone and dials.

Tru: It's me. The warehouse. Send an ambulance.

Panel 2:Police sirens wail in the distance. Tru moves quickly, scaling the warehouse wall and disappearing into the shadows before the first patrol car arrives.

Narrator:He never stays. He never takes credit. Justice is the only reward he needs.

Panel 3:Dawn breaks over the city. Tru stands in his barbershop, sweeping hair from the floor. His knuckles are bruised, wrapped loosely. He moves like a man carrying weight.

Narrator:By day, he returns to his other life. The cut. The clips. The routine.

Panel 4:The door chimes. Dean enters, holding a newspaper. The headline reads: 'WAREHOUSE BUST—POLICE FIND STOLEN GOODS, THREE ARRESTS.' Dean's blue eyes are knowing as he looks at Tru.

Dean: Big night for the cops. Tru: Just a good night for the city.

Panel 5:Tru begins cutting Dean's hair. In the mirror's reflection, Dean watches Tru's bruised knuckles and the slight wince when he lifts his arm.

Dean: You're hurt. Tru: Nothing serious.

PAGE 5

Panel 1:Tru's apartment. Evening. Adaijah stands by the window, looking out at the city skyline. Her long dark hair falls down her back. She wears a fitted sweater. Her expression is distant, worried.

Narrator:She waits for him every night. Wondering if he'll come back.

Panel 2:Tru enters the apartment quietly. He removes his jacket, revealing fresh bandages on his arm. Adaijah turns from the window, her blue eyes sharp with concern.

Adaijah: You're hurt. How bad?

Panel 3:Adaijah approaches Tru and gently unwraps his bandages. Her muscular hands are careful, deliberate. Her face shows a mixture of love and anger.

Adaijah: You promised you'd be careful. Tru: I was. This was careful.

Panel 4:Adaijah sits beside Tru on the couch. She takes his hand and places it over her heart. Her blue eyes lock onto his brown ones.

Adaijah: I need you alive. More than this city needs a vigilante.

Panel 5:Tru's face softens. He pulls Adaijah close, his broad shoulders wrapping around her athletic frame. Outside the window, the city lights begin to twinkle as night falls.

Tru: I know. And I will be.

Narrator:But even as he says it, he knows it's a promise he might not be able to keep.

PAGE 6

Panel 1:Three days later. The barbershop is busy. Multiple customers sit in chairs. Tru moves between them, cutting hair with his usual precision. He wears his gray barber's smock. His short black hair points upward, his expression focused.

Narrator:Three days of peace. Three days of normalcy.

Panel 2:Dean enters the barbershop, but his expression is urgent. He pulls Tru aside, away from the customers. His blue eyes are serious.

Dean: We have a problem. Viktor's organization just hit the east side. Tru: How bad?

Panel 3:Tru's jaw clenches. He excuses himself from his customer and steps into the back room with Dean.

Dean: Building on fire. They're using arson as a cover for something bigger. Tru: A distraction.

Panel 4:Tru removes his barber's smock and reveals tactical gear underneath—dark pants, reinforced jacket. Dean nods knowingly. This is the moment the day becomes the night.

Tru: I have to. Dean: You're going.

Panel 5:Dean grabs Tru's shoulder. His square jaw is set with worry. There's a depth of friendship in his gaze.

Dean: Come back. Don't make her wait.

PAGE 7

Panel 1:Police swarm the warehouse. Tru is gone, vanished into the night. Officers find Viktor and his crew incapacitated, the stolen goods secured. The operation is shut down.

Narrator:The city wakes to news of another victory. They don't know the cost.

Panel 2:Morning. Tru stands in his barbershop, cutting hair. He moves slowly today, favoring his left side. His knuckles are wrapped again. The barber's smock hides new bruises.

Narrator:He returns to his chair. To his clippers. To the life that anchors him.

Panel 3:Adaijah enters the barbershop carrying lunch. She sees Tru's slow movements and new injuries. Her blue eyes read him instantly. She sets the lunch down without speaking.

Panel 4:Tru finishes the customer's cut. He turns to face Adaijah. Their eyes meet. She doesn't need him to explain. She already knows.

Adaijah: How long can you do this?

Panel 5:Tru removes his barber's smock. His square jaw and beard with gray stripe are set with resolve. His brown eyes are steady, unafraid.

Tru: As long as it takes.
