Delete it yourself

iOS and Android apps

1. Open the Profile tab.
2. Tap Delete Account.
3. Confirm. Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.

Website

1. Sign in at comicink.ai and open your account menu.
2. Choose Settings, then Delete account.
3. Type your email address to confirm.

Deletion cannot be undone, and unused credits are lost. A ComicInk plan you pay for on the website is cancelled first; if we cannot cancel it, your account is not deleted and you are asked to try again. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are billed by Apple or Google: cancel any subscription there as well.

Ask us to delete it

If you cannot sign in or no longer have the app, email superhero@comicink.ai from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours. We delete it within 30 days and email you when it is done.

What we delete

• Your account: name, email address, sign-in details and profile.
• Everything you made: series, issues, pages, panels, scripts, characters, assets, locations and story videos, and every image, video and audio file stored for them, including published comics and the reference photos you uploaded.
• Your credit balance, credit history and image-generation history.
• Your storefront, if you have one, and its reader subscriptions, which are cancelled.
• Your referral code, notifications, device tokens for push notifications, activity history and the safety-check records about your content.

What we keep, and for how long

• Backups. Copies in our database backups are removed as those backups are replaced, within 30 days.
• Removal requests and reports. If you reported content, or someone reported yours, we keep the record of the report and of what we removed, and a fingerprint of each removed image so it cannot be uploaded again. The link to your account is removed, but the email address on a report stays. The law requires us to show how we handled these requests, so they do not expire automatically.
• Payment records. Card payments are processed by Stripe, app purchases by Apple and Google, and printed orders by Printful. They keep their own records of your payments, as tax and accounting law requires, under their own retention rules. We delete our copy of your purchases with your account.
• Usage and cost records. Records of the AI work done for your account (which model ran, how long it took and what it cost) and the scores our quality checks gave your conversations with the in-app assistant stay, in de-identified form only: they are moved to a new random number that is not linked to you, your name or your email. The written summaries of those conversations are deleted. These records do not expire automatically.
• Support conversations. Our own notes on messages you sent to our support chat are redacted: your email address, name and the words of your messages are removed. Your conversations in our support chat, and your contact record there, are also deleted from our chat provider, Crisp, Inc. If we close an account ourselves because it broke our rules, we keep those conversations as the record of that decision.
• Referrals. If you joined through a friend's link, their record that a referral happened stays, without any link to you.
